Man, everyone must truly be stuck at home because we just passed last Saturday's numbers and its only 5:30 PM.
Here I thought I'd take it easy on Posts, (as I usually do on Saturday's) but like everyone else, there's not a whole lot to do today anyway.
Well, since there's so many of you on here, someone come up with their best idea of what to do when so many are stuck indoors.
Someone mentioned the power may go out and recommended that people fill up their bath tubs with water in case your toilets stop working and pull out candles in case the power goes out.

Times like these are the only time that I wish I still had the hot tub. Every other time to heck with a hot tub.
ReplyDeleteEveryone should go out and get battery back up for your computers so when the power goes out we can keep reading Joe's posts. Then he can have the highest during a power outage. What ya think about that Joe?
ReplyDeleteDoug, you're right. I had one years ago and we'd sit in it while it was snowing. Our hair would get frozen but toasty warm inside the tub.
ReplyDeleteMr. Cannon, either you people are obsessed with Salisbury News or I have trule replaced the local MSM?
ReplyDeleteThe bypass is in my backyard. I just saw a snow plow ride by, not plowing. Imagine that.
ReplyDeleteAin't you ever seen snow before?
ReplyDeleteWboc can't even get the snow accum. right. they are still showing 4 to 6 in. when there is 9 plus in my yard. sby news has much better updates.
ReplyDeletePlow trucks everywhere but not a plow down. I want to see their policy/procedure manual!
ReplyDeleteWas there a tv show today?
ReplyDeleteanonymous 6:14, we're still working on it for the on line version. It did air today on WRDE but Friday & Saturday's show has been delayed due to some computer problems. Once we get it fixed we'll post it up.

ReplyDeleteMy spouse and I rode around today because we could with the 4 wheel drive and many years of experience driving in these conditions. (I'll leave it at that) It was beautiful and we took a few pictures to look back on. Tonight it is a dip in the hot tub, a fire in the fireplace and spending some quality time.
Most of all being thankful for our many years together with few health problems. We are thankful for how blessed our life is and we suggest everyone spend some quality time together on a night when everything around us seems to slow down.
Say a prayer for those that have to work tonight.
Just so you know Joe, not obsessed with your blog but a nice place to go on some down time.
anonymous 6:25, an adicting and wonderful idea, thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, as I mentioned earlier, I have two sick ones at home and as rare as it may be, I'm keeping my distance as we need at least one of us to be healthy enough to do necessary things around the home.
Other wise, I'd agree with 100% of everything you just said and quite frankly I'm a bit jealous. Enjoy your quality time together.
What to do? Seduce my husband.
ReplyDelete:)
Actually? If you really want to prepare for a power outage, put a few bags of ice in your washing machine and put frozen food and milk and whatever inside. It will keep for a while and afterwards, when the power is back on, you can just run the washer to drain the melted ice out.

I think everyone should go out and take a picture right now and all post them for Joe. We can have a contest!
ReplyDeleteMade some air popped popcorn w/melted butter & salt and watched a movie, then made snow cream, getting ready to make homemade hot cocoa next!
ReplyDeleteWe love you Joe ,we can keep you company ! You have done that for us many , many times and we THANK YOU!
ReplyDeleteDon't forget to feed the birds!
ReplyDeleteSitting by a crackling fire with a hot cup of tea, a good book and a cat in my lap... Perfection! Made a big pot of homemade soup for dinner. No need to go anywhere or do anything -- for a change. All in all, a beautiful day!
