There are only two farmins in the fire company with an A license to drive it. They wont because they want nothin to do with hazmat or furlough 1. This class only preps you for the test and doesnt transition you from B to A class license. Lots of pissed farmin dropped out because the process was so screwed up and not what was promised.Another Bragg and Gordy project. Most farmin dont care if it ever responds and probably wont. Just another waste of your tax dollars.
I had enrolled in the class and dropped out. The thing was screwed up from jump with numerous class changes. Gordys project with Bragg coordinating it which spells disaster.
The ones driving the unit this past weekend only have their learners permit. They are getting their class A licenses at tax payers expense and getting paid overtime for taking the weekend long Drivers Training class.
This is a great idea because the firefighters will now be able to get a part time job driving a tractor trailer for their second job. A good way to make up for the poor pay the city pays them.
anyone wishing to even think of touching that rig, has to have at minimal a class a learners permit. If they have a permit, they must have a person whom holds a Class A with them. And no you do not need a hazmat endorsement.
This was the first of four weekends the class is being held. I am sure you will see this rig on the street the next three weekends as well.
People who complete the class will NOT be licensed to drive the rig. They must complete the MD DMV Class A Test to obtain their license, the same as any other person would do. The class is simply an orientation and familiarization class given by a NON-Departmental person who is considered an expert in the field. I do not know his name.
In order to be a student in the class (and operate the rig) you must have obtained a Class A Learners Permit.
I was one of those drivers this past weekend. I am taking this class to upgrade my Commercial License that I already hold. I will be scheduled to take the appropriate MVA test in the near future. I had a licensed driver to drive with me as required.
Secondly I took two full days away from my family to serve this City. I am a VOLUNTEER. Read this cleary. I will say it again. VOLUNTEER. No compensation for my time.
You also need to read the emergency vehicle laws a little better for MD. I won't get into this now.
If you want to know who I am your internal spy will surly tell you.
What a waste of money and who is the moron claiming to be a VOLUNTEER? I guarantee that buttwipe won't ever drive it to a call during an emergency. First of all it may never ever get a call and second if it does the career firefighters will be there to take it.
Not only is the SFD walking on thin ice in the public's eye, now anon. 1126 wants to start the who's is bigger between the paid and vollie members. SFD has such a long way to go and they may never get there. What a shame.
Which fire department is this?
ReplyDeleteWhat would that require a class A with Hazmat endorsement?
ReplyDeleteWhat is the matter, are you scared to ask them? That would be the manly thing to do!
ReplyDeleteOops, forgot who I was talking to.
of course they do idiot
