ALL GUNS TO BE LISTED ON 2010 Tax Returns

THEY ARE REALLY DOING IT. THIS IS THE START OF CONFISCATION OF LAW ABIDING CITIZENS GUNS!!! WAKE UP PEOPLE!!!

http://www.snopes.com/politics/guns/blairholt.asp
Now 'all Guns' must be listed on your next (2010) tax return!

As if we didn't have enough to get upset about!

If you have a gun, I hope it isn't registered! Senate Bill SB-2099 will require us to put on our 2009 1040 federal tax form all guns that you have or own. It will require fingerprints and a tax of $50 per gun. This bill was introduced on Feb. 24, 2009, by the Obama staff. BUT this bill will only become public knowledge 30 days after the new law becomes effective! This is an amendment to the Internal Revenue Act o f 1986. This means that the Finance Committee has passed this without the Senate voting on it at all.

Trust Obama ? ..... you must be kidding!

The full text of the IRS amendment is on the U.S. Senate homepage,U.S. Senate You can find the bill by doing a search by the bill number, SB-2099.. You know who to call; I strongly suggest you do.

Text of H.R.45 as Introduced in House:

Blair Holt's Firearm Licensing and Record of Sale Act of 2009 - U.S. ... Open Congress

Obama's Congress is now starting on the firearms confiscation bill. If it passes, gun owners will become criminals if you don't fully comply.

It has begun . . . Whatever Obama's secret Master Plan is....this is just the 'tip of the iceberg!

Very Important for you to be aware of a new bill HR 45 introduced into the House. This is the Blair Holt Firearm Licensing & Record of Sale Ac t of 2009.

Even gun shop owners didn't know about this because the government is trying to fly it under the radar as a 'minor' IRS revision, and, as usual, the 'political' lawmakers did not read this bill before signing and approving it!

To find out about this - go to any government website and type in HR 45 or Google HR 45 Blair Holt Firearm Licensing & Record of Sales Act of 2009. You will get all the information.

Basically this would make it illegal to own a firearm - any rifle with a clip or ANY pistol unless: It is registered - you are fingerprinted - You supply a current Driver's License - You supply your Social Security # -Each update change or ownership through private or public sale must be reported and costs $25 - Failure to do so you automatically lose the right to own a firearm and are subject up to a year in jail. There is a child provision clause on page 16 section 305 stating a child-access provision. Gun must be locked and inaccessible to any child under 18. - They would have the right to come and inspect that you are storing your gun safely away from accessibility to children and fine is punishable for up to 5 yrs. in prison.

If you think this is a joke - go to the website and take your pick of many options to read this. It is long and lengthy. But, more and more people are becoming aware of this. Think 2nd and 4th Amendment to the Constitution. Pass the word along. Any hunters in your family pass this along. This is just a "termite" approach to complete confiscation of guns and disarming of our society to the point we have no defense - chip away a little here and there until the goal is accomplished before anyone realizes it..This is one to act on whether you own a gun or not.

  2. I doubt this bill will even pass, but what do you all have against the need to have a license for the guns you own? Isn't it already illegal to own unlicensed handguns?

  3. This is just going to encourage black market gun sales.

  4. According to the snopes link posted, the part about registering guns on your tax returns is false.

  7. i gave them all the info when i bought my gun. (all except the fingerprints. they can find those on the trigger).
i paid taxes on the gun when i bought it. i won't be taxed twice.

  8. Time to run out and get a hand gun because the day is coming that you won't be able to. They pass laws that make it harder to defend yourself as a law abiding citizen or a hunter or recreational shooter. Just over one year ago (pre Obama)I bought bullets for a 270 (to hunt with)that cost me in the range of $20.00, went to purchase new ones just before this rifle season and paid $52.00. In my opinion they are taxing and making restrictions in the wrong areas. I obey they law, own guns, hunt according to the laws but may not be able to safely protect my family from a thug with an illegal gun....This is a total slap in the face and disregard to what our country was founded on...The right to bear arms is all but done people...Thans to the hipocrit liberals!

  9. thanks for posting this, Joe!!! as a law abiding citizen and a legal gun owner, this is just ONE MORE reason (as if i needed more) not to trust the present administration. I have spoken already to a dozen people like myself, and believe me, if this doesn't wake 'em up, shame on 'em!!! No way they get my guns. Never. This country is headed for revolt. I'm not advocating violence, but that's what is needed. In the meantime, radical muslims who have sworn to destroy, maim and kill our citizens, are being treated as mere criminals and mirandized and sent through the courts. When will people wake up? They should be handled as combatants. Let the military take care of them. After all, i guess the current fool in office will probably try and send the armed forces in to take our guns, and our freedoms with it.

  10. While I think it is a good idea to make sure that every gun owner has their fingerprints on record and the gun properly registered, I think this is going too far! I have paid enough for MD internal lock requirements, background checks and ammunition for my firarms...now I have to pay taxes on them?! I have been a responsible gun owner, but now I have to be taxed and monitored!? This is BS! I don't want guns in the hands of criminals, but I still want to continue to be able to protect myself and shoot recreationally without being hindered!

  11. You said "you know who to call", I should, but I do not, please give me the info. I need. This is the craziest thing I have seen yet. I am a collector. I have probably 20 guns. I will NOT participate in this no matter what and I hope every gun owner feels the same way! This pres. is a modern day Hitler!! Anyone who doesn't see it is BLIND!

  12. As usual someone starts something without knowing the facts, check the NRA web site and you will see the truth.

  13. The NRA, and the National Shooting Sports Foundation both say there is no such bill active.I will beleive them insted of some bloger.

  14. Many third world and dicatator controlled countries do not allow citizens to own guns. We are headed in that direction courtesy of Obama.

  15. I think this is an incentive to stop filing taxes? Maybe everyone should quit paying taxes all together.....starve the monster to death!

  16. wake up people. Obama has nothing to do with the piece of legislation which was proposed in 2000 and came nowhere close to becoming law.

  17. Does anyone bother to fact check anything before they post it? It's stupid things like this that make the liberals point at us and call us a bunch of panicky, know nothing jackasses.

  18. It's not Obama's plan. Its the plans of his corporate masters. He's just a puppet.

  19. Joe, When I had my yearly physical...The assessment form stated.....Do You Have a Weapoin in your home" I questioned the Physician about the form He replied...It's just to see if it is accessible to children!...I didn't buy that....I left it blank! I informed the physician that I'm an advocate for the second ammendment.

  22. 9:02 nobody has anything against licensing their guns. When you buy a gun you register and give them this info and go through a backround check. This is a way to easily take guns from people and to keep tabs on them, oh and to tax something that tax was already paid on. I'm guessing yearly? The criminals won't be adding them to their 1099's will they? So this is an attempt to go after law abiding gun holders.
My 1st reaction was that the NRA will never let this happen and apparently it hasn't passed but it's still scary.

  23. 2:57 that's what we've done. we've stopped taking taxes out of peoples pays and pay them cash. We refuse to pay federal taxes anymore. I will not buy into the healthcare thing either. We have our own Coventry policy and it works just fine for us. We will not continue to feed this unconstitutional animal that has grown into a socialist beast. Wake Up People! We can bring this thing to it's knees by starving it. We had better starve it before it starves us!

  24. The e-mail is wrong in so many ways that it's hard to know where to begin. But here we go:

    • No such bill was introduced on Feb. 24 of this year. But there was such a bill introduced on Feb. 24, 2000, by Sen. Jack Reed, a Democrat from Rhode Island.

    • The bill didn't pass. Indeed, it died in committee, as most bills do. The e-mail wrongly says the law will take effect with your "next tax return." The bill would have required people to register handguns in the National Firearms Registration and Transfer Record, the government would have shared that information with law enforcement agencies, and guns would have been taxed when they were manufactured or sold. But again, the bill did not pass.

    • The National Rifle Association wrote a blog post discrediting the e-mail, saying that it was "recycling an old alert that wasn’t even accurate when it was new," and noting that the bill in question "disappeared without any action by the Senate, back when Bill Clinton was still in the White House."

The e-mail is also ridiculously false with its claim that "this bill will only become public knowledge 30 days after the new law becomes effective." Although Congress has its share of closed-door meetings, bills are made public on the Thomas Web site. Indeed, that's how we found this one.

It's worth noting that variations of this chain e-mail have been circulating for many years. The Web site UrbanLegends.about.com wrote about this rumor back in September 2000. Only recently has a new version emerged.

  27. The Irs 1040 is single most important IRS Federal income tax form. Form 1040 has alternatives as well such as 1040EZ or 1040A etc. However, you should know which 1040 form I use. You Must File Form 1040 by April 15 2010 to evade any interest or penalties for late filing your tax returns.
