It always cracks me up whenever we share news from Delaware. Some crackpot always says, I thought this was Salisbury News, not Delaware News. Salisbury News is a FREE service. We don't have the convenience or access to purchase stories from the AP. Nevertheless, we do provide mainly local news and information.
The Daily Times charges daily for their newspaper, yet they clearly have very few reporters on staff any longer and to be truthful with you, 80% of the events I attend any more, you won't see the Daily Times there. They now sit behind their desks and wait for the news to come to them. Then when they see a story on Salisbury News, they make contact with that group and create a story out of it a day or two later.
So the next time someone sends me a comment about how we're not providing enough local news, send me your billing address and let me charge you .75 cents a day, (or whatever it is now) for 10 pages worth of information found right here on Salisbury News days in advance.
OK, so now tell us how many of you have cancelled your subscription to the Daily Times?
Shouldn't this say, "Yesterday's News from Salisbury News?"

A Charles A. Williams Shooting Update
The last two shots are what finally took Charles A. Williams down. While doing some research on this matter referencing a person threatening or coming at a Police Officer with a knife is as follows.
In training they teach Officers to keep clear of the perp at least 21 feet. Charles A. Williams was 20 to 21 feet from the Officers. The reaction time of an Officer is 1.5 seconds and any perp within 21 feet CAN reach an Officer before he/she can draw their weapon and fire.
That being said, when Charles A. Williams was within 7 feet of the Officers and coming at them while they were firing their weapons they started retreating backwards. I'm told one of the Officers fell to the ground, (as they are trained to do) onto his back. This procedure is to protect the Officer in which he can use his legs and feet to fend off a perp with a knife.
Fortunately the last two shots were what took Charles A. Williams down. Charles A. Williams was in fact coming at the Officers with a knife and not following their commands. It was a clean shoot and a justified shoot according to the professionals I spoke with.
It's time to put this story to rest.

State Police Seek Assistance In Identifying Resort Area Thieves
Rehoboth Beach / Bethany Beach – The Delaware State Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying two thieves who are responsible for stealing money from two local businesses.
The first incident occurred at the Exxon Gas Station located on Coastal Hwy and Country Club Road in Rehoboth Beach on Saturday, April 18 at approximately 12:45 pm. In this incident two unknown black male suspects entered the business. One light skinned black male wearing a black White Sox hat proceeded to the office area and utilized an unknown object to pry open the locked office door, removing an undisclosed amount of money in rolled quarters. This theft did occur while the store was open. Employees informed police that they did hear banging noises coming from the rear of the establishment near the office area, however they were busy at the time and did not inquire further. It was later determined that the office door was forced open and the money was taken. Surveillance video captured the suspect wearing the White Sox hat.
The second theft occurred the same day at approximately 1:56 pm at the Shore Foods located on Coastal Hwy in Bethany Beach. In this incident, the same two black male suspects enter the store. Video surveillance reveals the first black male distracting the clerk on the opposite end of the store while the other suspect wearing the White Sox hat removed a large sum of money from money bags that were laying unsecured in the rear office.
In both incidents, the suspects fled undetected and committed these crimes as the stores were open for business. Attached a photographs captured from surveillance cameras of the suspects. Anyone who has any information on this crime or anyone who can assist investigators with the identity of these persons is urged to contact detectives at Troop 4 at 302.856.5850 ext 223 or Crime Stoppers at 1.800.TIP.3333. Tips may also be forwarded to law enforcement through tip lines maintained by Delaware Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIP-333 3 or on line at www.tipsubmit.com.

Strong Arm Robbery In Canby Park

Suspect(s): two unknown black male subjects
Resume: Last evening, Troopers responded to the Canby Park Shopping Center for the report of a robbery complaint.
When officers arrived, they contacted a 35-year-old male victim. He advised he pulled up behind the La Cabana Restaurant to throw away some trash. Once he was finished, the victim began to close the truck to his car when a subject snuck up behind him and placed him in a ‘bear-hug.’ While he was restrained, a second subject approached and took the victim’s wallet from his pants.
After the robbery, the suspects released the victim and fled on foot toward Alban Park. The victim was not injured.

Western Shore Bankers, Realtors and Special Interests Threaten YOUR Way of Life
MALPF is NOT some crazy scheme. The segmentation of property rights is as fundamental to American property as private ownership. Landowners have the right to sell or donate certain rights, just as they have the right to sell ALL rights (development, mineral, farming, etc.). If you don't get that, you don't understand land ownership.
The ONLY folks railing against this are the people who want to see us look like New Jersey or Long Island or Suburban Atlanta. The ONLY people railing against this are single-family real estate developers and the farmers who have been brainwashed to believe that they would lose value, equity, or loan collateral through downzoning or an effective TDR program.
The FACT of the matter is that every scholarly paper published and every after-the-fact research report done in this region has shown that property values INCREASED (admittedly only marginally) for farms following an effective downzoning and TDR implementation. Property values increased because the market adjusts positively in the face of certainty. When it is more likely that land will be farmed in perpetuity, or at least more contiguous land is likely to be farmed, higher market value is placed on farms in that area. NO bank stopped lending, or reduced the lending amount for seed or equipment.
Anyone who tells you differently is simply lying, saying what they FEEL, not what they KNOW.
Someone attacking MET, Lower Shore Land Trust, or another land preservation entity is laughable. These organizations have nothing to do with "taking someone's rights or land away". Quite the opposite. The only way development rights end up with these organizations is when a LANDOWNER sells or gifts them (for enormous tax benefits). It's so funny to me that people are confused by this, seeing it as some sort of conspiracy.

BREAKING NEWS! John Pick Could Be Leaving Salisbury!
Posted By Tom Barton On April 21, 2009 (10:04 pm) In Urbandale
Long tenures and extensive careers in city management stood out among finalists being considered as Urbandale’s next city manager.
Urbandale City Council members unanimously approved Tuesday night five finalists for their open city manager position.
The five finalists are: Jim Hurm, city administrator in Austin, Minn.; A.J. Johnson, Muscatine city manager; Timothy Zisoff, Indianola city manager; Cara Pavlicek, interim department manager with the Village of Oak Park, Ill.; and John Pick, city manager of Salisbury, Md.
“We are excited about the prospects for these candidates,” said Urbandale Mayor Robert Andeweg. “We couldn’t ask for a better pool and process in terms of quantity and quality. All have city manager experience and significant tenures that impressed me.”
All five candidates have careers in city management dating back at least 19 years. The most are Hurm and Zisoff, who have careers dating back to 1979. Pavlicek began her career with the City of Des Moines in 1990 as an administrative assistant in the city manager’s office until 1995.
Johnson has served as City Manager of Muscatine since 1989. Pick has served as city manager of Salisbury since 1995.
All, except for Pavlicek, come from cities smaller than Urbandale. The Village of Oak Park has a population of 52,000. Urbandale’s population is slightly more than 38,000.
Sixty-five people applied for the Urbandale job, and Slavin Management Consultants narrowed the list to 15. The council then cut the list to five after Slavin conducted background investigations and site visits.
Slavin was hired to find a replacement for former Urbandale City Manager Robert Layton, who left Urbandale at the end of January after 25 years in the position to take the same position in Wichita, Kan.
The five candidates are scheduled to travel to Urbandale on May 4, when they will be interviewed by the mayor and council, two city management teams and the Urbandale Citizen Advisory Committee, a group of 15 residents appointed by the City Council in January to provide input about the job description for a new city manager.
Interviews with the Citizen Advisory Committee will be the only public interviews. Those will begin at 11:15 a.m. and end at 5:30 p.m.
In addition, the finalists will tour Urbandale with chief city planner Steve Franklin. The day will end at the Urbandale Senior Center with a public “meet and greet” session from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
City officials said they hope to make a decision shortly thereafter. Andeweg said he hopes to have someone in the seat by June or July. The council is scheduled to meet for a regular meeting May 5, and could add the item to their agenda.
Resumes of the finalists will be posted on the city’s Web site at www.urbandale.org.
WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THE FINALISTS?
Do you live in the communities where the finalists are from? How do you feel about their performance as city managers? Have they improved the community? How?

JIM PERDUE DISCUSSES POULTRY POLLUTION ON “POISONED WATERS” SHOW

Besides the obligatory appearance of our local “expert” (on everything) Tom Horton, the program features an interview of Jim Perdue by the senior producer and narrator, Hedrick Smith. In a tough interview by a skilled questioner Mr. Perdue more than holds his ground. Here is an excerpt:
SMITH ... Critics say that agriculture, specifically the chicken industry, is the primary source of pollution in the bay and that if large integrators like Purdue were to be responsible for the waste, it might be better cleaned up. [What's your] point of view on that criticism or argument? ...

The Missing Letter
A young monk arrives at the monastery. He is assigned to helping the other monks in copying the old canons and laws of the church by hand.
He notices, however, that all of the monks are copying from copies, not from the original manuscript. So, the new monk goes to the head Abbot to question this, pointing out that if someone made even a small error in the first copy, it would never be picked up! In fact, that error would be continued in all of the subsequent copies.
The head monk, says,'We have been copying from the copies for centuries, but you make a good point, my son.'
He goes down into the dark caves underneath the monastery where the original manuscripts are held as archives in a locked vault that hasn't been opened for hundreds of years.
Hours go by and nobody sees the old Abbot.
So, the young monk gets worried and goes down to look for him. He sees him banging his head against the wall and wailing.
'We missed the R! We missed the R! We missed the R!' His forehead is all bloody and bruised and he is sobbing uncontrollably. The young monk asks the old abbot, 'What's wrong, father?'
With A choking voice, the old abbot replies, 'The word was...

RICK POLLITT CALLS OUT JOHN CANNON ON TAX CAP CONUNDRUM
An interesting exchange occurred yesterday during the open work session of the Wicomico County Council. Rick Pollitt and his staff presented a “Long Range Financial Outlook” from which certain tables and graphs have been reproduced with this post, after which there was a brief but dramatic discussion.
Bill McCain and David MacLeod made no attempt to disguise their desire to kill the tax cap. But John Cannon tried to play an inside straight by urging Pollitt to rally public support to rescind the tax cap.
Rick responded by stating that he has been doing so for several years and urged Mr. Cannon to do so also. Or, as folks in Allen, where Mr. Pollitt was raised and now resides, might say: “Put up or shut up, Johnny m’boy.”

Sutters Mill recreation built 1962 from old picture. Original washed away in flood in late 1800s. Park service recently found original pilings about 100 yds away closer to river.
Went to Sutters Fort. Better info and pics at www.parks.ca.gov/?page_id=21491.
Going to coast tomorrow and then north. Would like to see Redwoods. Weather should be good for next two days at least. Heading to Portland,OR (1957 Class mate).
Really enjoyable ride today. Beautiful scenery, smell of pine in the mountains met some real nice folks along the way. I enjoy the reaction to the Maryland tag on my bike or "USN Retired" cap. Lots of conversations!! Spent 1/2 hour with Ca.Park Guard at Sutters Mill talking NAVY, bikes and the history of the mill and area. He was Navy and has an old English bike like mine. 1954 Ariel for the bike guys.

Letter From Michael Steele
Dear Fellow Republican,
In his speech in France, Barack Obama called America "arrogant." (1) I'm sure the French loved it - And so did the liberal press.
But who is this president who calls the American people arrogant?
This is the same politician whose supporters anointed him "The One" and a candidate who boasted that his election would be remembered as "the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow and our planet began to heal." (2)
This is the same man who indicated his disdain for small town and working Americans when he said they "cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them," while addressing a group of San Francisco caviar and champagne liberal elitists.
How arrogant is that? Arrogant enough?
In truth, President Obama seems to champion the twisted "Blame-America First" mentality of the worst of the American left.
More importantly, it shows an absence of wisdom to criticize the United States while on foreign soil, and then join with the Pelosi-Reid Democrats in Congress to do everything possible to end American exceptionalism and create a weak, dependent socialist state patterned after the examples of Europe.
He has taken steps towards nationalizing American auto companies; firing executives while leaving in power the same Union Bosses who funded his campaign and helped cripple the U.S.'s manufacturing base.
He has refused to let financial firms pay back taxpayer-funded bailout loans (3) so he can make them hostages to the whims of the Federal government.
As a lawyer, Obama once sued the same financial institutions on behalf of radical groups like ACORN for failing to use leftist social engineering criteria for lending instead of an applicant's ability to repay a loan.
He has opened up talks with Iran. Apparently, he believes he can make peace with crackpot tyrants and heartless terrorists simply by sitting down and talking.
He campaigned on "transparency" and "integrity" in government and then has nominated a rogue gallery of tax evaders, Washington bureaucrats, and lobbyists to run his Administration.
And he has brazenly followed his chief of staff's maxim of "You never want a serious crisis to go to waste ... This crisis provides the opportunity for us to do things that you could not do before"(4) to cripple our free markets with massive taxation and spending that wrests away our freedoms and puts even our great-grandchildren in debt.
You know that Barack Obama's hubris and charisma conceal the inexperience and lack of wisdom that our country cannot afford in its president.
And though the teleprompter and mainstream media liberals may delay America's realization of the peril the Obama White House portends for our future for a while, the eventual failure of leftist policies and ineffective leadership will not.
We must be ready when that time comes.
Please help the Republican Party's effort to spread the word about the Democrats' arrogance of power and support GOP Members of Congress as they work to hold the Obama Democrats accountable to the American people.
Sincerely,
Michael Steele
Chairman, Republican National Committee
RETIRED PEOPLE
Working people frequently ask retired people what they do to Make their days interesting.
Well, for example, the other day the wife and I went into town And went into a shop. We were only in there for about 5 minutes.
When we Came out, there was a cop writing out a parking ticket.
We went up to him and I said, 'Come on man, how about giving a Senior citizen a break? 'He ignored us and continued writing the ticket.
I called him a Dumb A$$. He glared at me and started writing another Ticket for having worn tires ..
So Mary called him a sh!thead. He finished the second ticket and Put it on the windshield with the first. Then he started writing a third Ticket. This went on for about 20 minutes. The more we abused him, the More tickets he wrote.
Just then our bus arrived.
We try to have a little fun each day now that we're retired.
It's important at our age.

40th Biannual Senior Art Show
University Gallery of Fulton Hall
A closing reception is 6-8 p.m. Friday, April 24. A President’s Award presentation is 7 p.m.
Titled "The Night of the Living Artists," a twist on The Night of the Living Dead, the show represents the culmination of an undergraduate art major’s college career. The show takes at least a semester to develop and execute. "The theme was chosen when talking about how hard it is for our generation to graduate in a time when the economy does not lend itself to our favor," said show promoter and art student Meghan
Janiszewski. "Trying to get a job after graduation is so terrifying that it is like being in a horror show. We decided this would be a way to make light of an unfortunate situation." The exhibit brings together art majors from all artistic areas, including painting, glass blowing, sculpture, ceramics, new media, drawing, photography and graphic arts. A new media exhibit held in connection with the senior exhibit is April 13-May 22 at the Electronic Gallery in SU’s new Teacher Education and Technology Center.
A separate B.F.A. student exhibit hangs in the University Gallery from May 1-15. University Gallery hours are 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday-Friday, noon-4 p.m. Saturday-Sunday. DelDOT Accepting Brick Orders For The Delaware Highway Memorial Garden
The Delaware Highway Memorial Garden was not only an appropriate place to hold such an event, it is a place that has special meaning to many who have lost loved ones in traffic fatalities. Currently the garden contains over 500 personalized bricks. Each one representing a person who lost their life on a Delaware roadway.
To honor the memories of all those who have perished on our roadways, DelDOT wants to again encourage the public to order a personalized brick in memory of a loved one.
There is no cost for the brick, and the death must have occurred on a Delaware roadway. Brick orders are verified through the Delaware State Police and/or the Office of Vital Statistics. Only one personalized brick per deceased individual is permitted.
One of the goals of the Memorial Garden is to educate the public that roadside memorials are illegal under Delaware's Clear Zone Safety Law, and at times pose a safety hazard to motorists. By ordering an engraved brick, the garden provides a personal, safe, and maintenance-free way to remember a loved one.
The garden provides families of lost loved ones the opportunity to enjoy the peacefulness of the garden as they remember their lives together and move forward toward healing.
In addition, DelDOT notes that the garden serves as a daily reminder to everyone to drive safely. The Memorial Garden is just one of the ways DelDOT is increasing awareness and education in an effort to keep Delaware motorists, pedestrians, and cyclists safe.
DelDOT invites the public to explore the 11,000 square foot garden located on the grounds of the Smyrna Rest Area at 5500 DuPont Highway in Smyrna, Delaware. The garden contains a creative blend of native trees, shrubs and flowering plants. A concrete pathway outlined with personalized bricks gives the garden significant meaning and character. Also benches are placed throughout the garden for visitors' use.
For those interested in ordering a free brick, please contact DelDOT Public Relations at 302-760-2080 or (in-state) 800-652-5600 or go online to www.deldot.gov/Community Program and Services/Delaware Highway Memorial Garden.

2008 TROOPER OF THE YEAR AND NON-COMMISSIONED OFFICER OF THE YEAR
SUPERINTENDENT ANNOUNCES 2008 TROOPER OF THE YEAR AND NON-COMMISSIONED OFFICER OF THE YEAR
(Timonium, MD) -- Maryland State Police Superintendent Colonel Terrence B. Sheridan today announced the “Trooper of the Year” and “Non-Commissioned Officer of the Year” for 2008 and presented awards to the winners who include a trooper in his second police career and a former journalist.
Colonel Sheridan presented the Maryland State Police 2008 “Trooper of the Year” award to Trooper First Class Robert B. Rezza, of the Leonardtown Barracks. Colonel Sheridan presented the award for 2008 “Non-Commissioned Officer of the Year” to Sergeant James E. DeCourcey, of the Bel Air Barracks.
“I congratulate Trooper First Class Rezza and Sgt. DeCourcey for their outstanding accomplishments in 2008 that led to the distinguished honors each has received,” Colonel Sheridan said. “These troopers epitomize the actions and attitudes of all the dedicated men and women of the Maryland State Police who serve and protect our citizens every day.”
TFC Rezza, 52, joined the Maryland State Police on July 1, 2002, two days after retiring with the rank of lieutenant following a 23-year career with the Prince George’s County Police Department. TFC Rezza, a former sergeant with the United States Marines, is assigned to road patrol duties within St. Mary’s County. His dedication to duty is evidenced through both his traffic and criminal enforcement.
In 2008, TFC Rezza made 2,061 traffic stops, which were 700 more than the next closest trooper at the barracks. He issued 1,600 citations, 1,061 warnings and 100 safety equipment repair orders. Even with all those traffic stops, his supervisor reports he receives no complaints from citizens.
TFC Rezza made 20 arrests for drunk driving and 88 criminal arrests. He led the Leonardtown Barracks in warrant services in 2008, serving 51 arrest warrants. Understandably, TFC Rezza was acknowledged as the Leonardtown Barracks “Trooper of the Month” six times in 2008.
TFC Rezza’s leadership is evident in many ways. He volunteered to be on the Leonardtown Barrack’s tactical team. He serves as a Field Training Trooper and trained two new troopers in 2008. He regularly agrees to plan and implement special traffic enforcement efforts in St. Mary’s County. He is also on the Maryland State Police Pistol Team.
In addition to belonging to several charity campaigns, TFC Rezza also participates in Christmas In April and Shop With A Cop, both programs that provide gifts and services to children and families in need. He also participates in Project Graduation for St. Mary’s County, which gives high school graduates an opportunity to celebrate in a alcohol and drug free environment.
His supervisor, Sergeant Roger Redmond, said, “TFC Rezza is the type of employee and person that one may be lucky enough to encounter once in an entire career. Reliable, dedicated, professional, and relentless are but a few of the adjectives that describe one of the best troopers the Leonardtown Barracks, and quite possibly the Maryland State Police, has seen in some time.”
Sgt. James DeCourcey, 42, joined the Maryland State Police in 1998. He was previously a successful newspaper reporter and photographer in northern Maryland, who often reported on incidents involving the State Police.
Although Sgt. DeCourcey’s title in 2008 was criminal investigation section supervisor, he made significant contributions to both traffic and criminal work at the Bel Air Barracks. Not only was he a unit supervisor, he was also an investigator, collision reconstructionist and crime scene technician.
His superior computer skills assisted not only barrack personnel, but also provided invaluable help to the CRASH Team and Homicide Unit. After attending training on new missing person procedures, he developed and implemented a barrack procedure that was so successful, it was adopted and implemented by the entire Department.
In 2008, the Bel Air Barracks Criminal Investigation Section initiated 35 search warrants and assisted allied agencies with 22 others. Sgt. DeCourcey personally authored more than half of the barrack search warrants and reviewed them all.
One search warrant involved multiple law enforcement agencies in Baltimore City and Harford Co. and resulted in the dismantling of a drug and theft ring. Police recovered drugs and more than $130,000 of stolen property.
In another investigation, it was Sgt. DeCourcey’s knowledge of criminals in both Harford and Cecil counties that led to the disruption of a multi-state burglary ring responsible for as many as 50 burglaries. Thousands of dollars in cash and stolen property were recovered.
Sgt. DeCourcey worked with TFC Dana Wenger on a rape investigation that was two years old. Their relentless investigative efforts led to a suspect whose DNA confirmed he was the one responsible for the rape and an arrest was made. Sgt. DeCourcey’s work was integral in the arrest of a man who had killed his girlfriend and left her in a sleeping bag along a Harford County road last July.
Detective Sergeant Charles A. Moore nominated Sgt. DeCourcey for this award. He said, “Sgt. DeCourcey’s ability and performance as a Maryland state trooper can be summed up as extraordinary. His overwhelming dedication, work ethic, concern for subordinate welfare and acts of self-sacrifice comprise the ultimate model which other law enforcement personnel should study and emulate.”
This is not the first award for Sgt. DeCourcey. He was the Bel Air Barracks Non-Commissioned Officer of the Year for 2006, 2007, and 2008. He was the North East Barracks Trooper of the Year in 2002. He was a previous nominee for the Baltimore Sun Police officer of the Year, the Maryland State Police Criminal Investigation Trooper of the Year, the American Legion Law Enforcement Officer of the Year and the International Association of Chiefs of Police PARADE Magazine Police Officer of the Year.
Sgt. DeCourcey has been a member of the Charlestown Volunteer Fire Company in Cecil County for 19 years and received the Firefighter President’s Award for his service there. He also won Firefighter of the Year in 1995 and received resolutions from both the Maryland House of Delegates and Maryland Senate for his service.
Sex Charges Dropped Against Salisbury Christian School Teacher Mrs. Mayers
While I read more respectable articles about what had happened, clearly when you read between the lines something just wasn't right. Questions started popping up asking why the case was dropped, yet they could bring it back at any time.
While I cannot get into the details of such, I believe the final tail end of this story will be more telling than anything else brought forth. Something you haven't read elsewhere. What I will tell you will give you a better idea as to what really happened.
You see, States Attorney Davis Ruark has a child that goes to Salisbury Christian School, that's no secret. This is ne reason why Mr. Ruark could not handle this case himself based on a conflict of interest. Let me assure each and every one of you this individual WILL walk into that School with box loads of compelling evidence to present to the leaders of that School. They will clearly show just who Mrs. Mayers is and the danger she creates to other students y being in that School.
You see Folks, once you're a sex offender, always a sex offender. Now the Fat Man may be saying, Oh My God, what is Joe Albero doing making such a statement. Is he that stupid that he's willing to do so at the risk of being sued? While I'm not a stupid man, Fat Man, unlike you I do know the facts in this case and I dare challenge Mrs. Mayers to challenge me in any Court Room. I personally believe Mrs. Mayers is smart enough to know that she was delivered a golden horse shoe up her rear end today and it will never happen again in her lifetime. In fact, IF she's not careful enough the States Attorneys Office can bring back this case any time they like and try it again, indefinately.
Mr. Smith, my hat is tipped to you Sir. You made a very unpopular decision today, one that on the surface gave the MSM a black eye for exposing this story in the first place. However, I have spoken to the rest of the MSM and we firmly stand beside you in your decision and are willing to keep our mouths shut and perhaps even eat crow for a short while. Not that we were wrong, not that we misrepresented ourselves in any way, shape or form. There are times in which, (for the good of those involved) we must remain quiet and in this case we will respectfully do so.
That being said, to the Salisbury Christian School. We are watching this situation VERY closely. We know facts will be presented to you in which YOU will be forced to make a decision as to what to do with Mrs. Mayers prior position. All I can say to all of you is, IF the Salisbury Christian School is not responsible with their decision and I personally feel more must be done, I will file for a FOIA on this case and expose everything I possibly can.
I highly doubt a Christian School would like to see such information exposed as this Blog has grown to proportions no one had ever believed would happen. I say all of this because the Salisbury Christian School will have the final say, after reviewing all evidence in this case. I have to wonder what they will do once all the facts are out. My guess is, once they see the evidence the answer will be a quick and swift NO, Mrs. Mayers may not return!
So while the Fat Man and his own personal comments allegedly continue to rag on me, you have no contacts to know what's really going on and or why certain decisions were made in this case. In fact, IF you actually knew what was going on you'd be ashamed of yourself, if anyone can actually believe you have any shame anyway.
On a personal note to Mrs. Mayers, if I were you, I'd make damn sure no Family Members go pounding their chest in any way, shape or form, especially at the Salisbury Christian School. You happen to know just how fortunate you are today. This was in no way a victory for you today and you know that. My strong suggestion to you is, stay as peaceful as you humanly can because you are walking one of the finest lines I have ever seen and it can and will come back to haunt all of you legally if you're not careful. Respect the fact that you are a free woman for the moment.
Once again in closing, thank you Mr. Smith for a job well done. Many others would have gone for the kill/win instead and you did one of the most honorable things I have ever seen an attorney do. You have set the bar on decency and I strongly encourage your fellow co-workers to follow in your footsteps.
