  2. They don't want to make him look bad? We need to do something about this. I just don't know what it is.

  3. Probably because it was a burglary not a sex offense duh

  7. It probably would have made the segment run too long and possibly cut into something really important like the sports or weather or Heaven forbid a damned car comercial!

  9. Joe, Thank you so much for all the work you do. I have utilized the sex offender registery link on your blog and was blown away by what I saw. I even went to the Worcester county site and I have to tell you that I found a sex offender that actually holds a position in a fire department. Can you believe it? How can this happen? His name is keven james hall. With you investigative skills maybe you can shed some light on this subject. You are much better at getting the word out than any other media outlet in the area. Keep up the good work, you are awesome.

  10. Who hires these sex offenders? Do employers know that their company name is on a sex offender list?

Lets make it so sex offenders can't get a job in Wicomico! Then they would have to move out of here to find employment!

Boycott the businesses that hire these perverts!

Hey Joe, you should post a sex offender once a week and where they work to educate the public!

  11. What an omission! And a non compliant sex offender at that.

  12. 2nd degree rape of a 13 year old girl in 2003...Yes,wboc could have thrown that into the story.Everyone should do what they can to bring attention to these animals..learn their names, where they live, where they work and what they look like.

  14. OMG! How can the Pocomoke Fire Dept. have a registered sex offender on their roster?
    Isn't there some accountabilty?
Shouldn't this disqualify them from State and Federal Funding?
Joe, you have got to look into this!
You have found so much corruption with the Salisbury FD, it seems that they are not alone in their shenanigans.
Please look into this, I can't believe that this organization can knowingly allow this man to be a member!
    Sick'em Joe!

Maybe it was burglary because no one was home. Otherwise it may have been worse. The more publicity these perverts get the more likely they will leave town. As for the businesses that hire them, most don't run background checks and learn after the fact.

  16. This is why listing the offender and making a "media circus out of this is against the right of the person. The sex offender registry is not new, it has been around for a long while. I have had my own dealings with sex offenders living next to me, two as a matter of fact and have an in -home daycare. By Megan's Law, they have the right to live anywhere except within I believe 500 feet of a school and I believe a church. The offender has the right to hold a job and they have a right to have a family. Does everyone agree, no, can you do anything about it, no. As long as the person goes to Probation and Parole and checks in everything is fine. In the defense of a few, they were set up by an underaged girl who said she was age of consent and the girl was not and now the boy has to register for the rest of his life.

The community cannot become a vigilante and take matters into your hands, but you can protect your family and police your home. We still have the right to bear arms and with a loaded .38 in the bedroom drawer I will do just that.

  18. You know, just to play devil's advocate here...these are only the sex offenders who've been caught. Sexual abuse is one of the most underreported crimes in this country. So if you wanna boycott businesses who hire them-you probably can't patronize any business in America. Sad, isn't it?

    ReplyDelete
  19. Country House? Well Well, not only do they not support mothers, but they employ sex offenders?

    Nice.

    ReplyDelete
  20. That's one of the best ideas I've heard... public boycotts of businesses who hire sex offenders. Somebody setup a website and get a link here on Joe's page. We need to mke this happen and make it known.

    Great thinking 12:07

  21. 1:12, very well done!!! Lets hope the businesses can figure out a way to fire them or let them go somehow...I have been wondering if they can do that leagly...I will not have anything to do with any of them until they take some kind of action..now that they know..

    ReplyDelete
  22. nice work 1:12 Identify the enablers!!!

  23. I know this guy. He was released from prison within the last couple of years. He did his time. The victim was actually his girlfriend who apparently lied about her age. Her parents pressed charges. They even have a child together.

    ReplyDelete
  24. As for the tv stations..I think everytime that they report a story about a robbery,or drugs...ect..they should also check the sex offenders list and also say "by the way..." That way we have a face a name ect..people dont pay to much attention to the other crimes and their names are forgotten or dont stand out..but now...hurting children..nobody will forget these demonds...they should be pointed out ,in the public eye any chance we get

    ReplyDelete
  25. 1:46 that cannot be done, that is harassment go to the above comment

    ReplyDelete
  26. 1:46..It is harassment?I wasnt sure because the sex offenders list is public..so if they are in the news for another crime then nothing can be said about past crimes even if it is a sex offender?

    ReplyDelete
  27. They best way to do it is right here by the citizens . Keep an eye on the sex registry list put their names on here and warn people who live near them . Maybe the pressure will drive them out of our communities !

    ReplyDelete
  28. While I have been affected as any other person in this community, I feel I must respond to the post of 1:12.. I am an employer of a registered sex offender...Why? For several reasons. From the beginning, this person was upfront and honest. Nothing was ever hidden. I was told of the siuation and as someone who has as many wrongs in my past as the next person, I have given him a chance..While many of you believe that offenders cannot be rehabilitated, I question that. This gentleman is one of my most dependable workers. He has never done anything out of line during his time here and I have watched closely over him as I do all of my employees. I also have previous drug users, and recovering alcoholics. While you may not believe this, I get compliments on my workers all the time. Say what you want, but people can change and be given second chances. I been offered more than one in my lifetime so maybe that makes me a little bit more sensitive... At this point, I would prefer to not
sign my name-Cowardly, no, but cautious, yes-I have seen how people can be lynched at a moments notice. However, I would go to bat for any of my men and have done so.. I would suggest that out of respect to a business, if you have any questions, go directly to that owner and get the information directly.. I am sure that there are many businesses that hire people with skeletons in their closet. Just don't ruin them before knowing what happened.

  29. People, People - what did we just learn about these kinds of comments? You don't know the whole story on any of the people on this list. I'm not defending anyone - but don't make a flying leap to conclusions either. Some (certainly not all), but some of these people may have gotten put there by an angry girlfriend/wife etc. I also think there is a big difference between sexually abusing a child - and lets say having a fling with someone that is oh...17 1/2 that was willing at the time and having their parents press charges years after the incident. I'm not saying that it is right - I'm saying that it is different. I would much rather them be employed then having all day to wander around my neighborhood.

  30. Thanx 1:00,and 1:46 i missed that comment...very informative.

  31. Many of you need to calm down. Its one thing to be cautious but let's not get crazy! All of these offenders are on this list for many different reasons. Do some research before you assume everyone on that list is a monster. Many of them are I'm sure, but each case is different and they have served their time. I do agree for most of them its not nearly long enough... I'm just saying look into the cases before doing a bunch of mud slinging over something you know very little about.

  32. I just spoke with a representative from D.M. Taylor Inc. and they have informed me that the individual mentioned in these comments no longer works for the company.

  33. Well saaid, 2:51, 2:55, and 3:28. We need to be cautious at all times with our children. Unfortunately, people cannot be trusted.. Know who your children are spending the afternoon/nites with. Communicate with themand others. Let them know that their bodies are their own and not to be afraid to tell an adult if something happens...Ignorance can be our greatest opposition- Lets not be something straight out of "Deliverance"

Big deal. There are alot of dependable people out here right now who cant find a job who have NO criminal record,so I have a hard time summoning sympathy for a sexual predator and whether he has a job or not.In fact maybe if we make them miserable enough and they cant find a job and everyone knows what they are, they will go away.

  36. I saw a news article, probably a year or so ago, about a 19 yr old guy who was dating (intimately) a 16 yr old and was arrested and convicted of statutory rape (consentual relationship). He now has to register as a sex offender, which will follow him for the rest of his life.

Last I remember, he's trying to get the record expunged. He's married with children of his own and cannot find decent employment because of his status.

Do we treat him like a violent offender? How many of us dated and had sex with someone a couple of years older (or younger) when we were teens?

    You should remove your comment.
You are on a very slippery slope.
Some of these businesses have very close connections with law enforcement.
If these people are going to be out anyway, lets keep them where we can see them. How would you feel if this comment caused 100 sex offenders to be out of a job tomorrow, leaving them to possibly commit more crime in an act of vengeance?

  38. For the MSM to actually get on their computer and click on the sex offender site for every robber, shooter and asaulter would require WORK, Joe! And we all know MSM is not work; it's just copy and paste what comes in over the wire.

    Silly you.
