Shanie Shields Violates Employee Confidentiality

Tonight at 5:00 & 6:00 PM Shanie Shields will be on WBOC stating how she would vote if Chief Webster is asked by the Mayor to resign. This information was discussed in a closed session and Shanie is not allowed to discuss such issues publicly.

  2. Wonder what dirt the Chief has on Shanie? Shanie can't really be that blind to the citizens wants and needs is she?

  7. 5:34

The black community only cares that she is black and that hasn't changed. Plus, what was the voter turnout under 100?

  8. How can someone with such a low I.Q. be elected to the city council?
I mean, be for real here!

  10. Shanie for once in your life, think for yourself, and get your head out of Comegys and Louweasal's a$$. If you do vote to keep Webster, just goes to show you don't care about Salisbury or about what everyone had to say last night.

  12. Shanie , try to further your education , they have a wonderful
3rd grade class at Beaver Run.
Better yet , just start over from the first grade.

  13. shanie won't vote to get rid of the chief, cause who would the new chief be locking up? want to venture a guess, unfortunately even the black community is suffering because of her stupidity!

  14. Since she knowingly violated the confideniality of the council, what can be done?

  15. Why is there so much hate that comes from persons who submit these comments. Might that be the core to our problems with crime?

  16. Im sure she will call NAACP

  17. Black voters deserve better than this !

  18. Shanie is the weakest link in the web of deceit.

  19. You're obviously not an attorney. Using your reasoning then, any vote on whether to fire the chief, or not, should be a secret one? I can just see you now if the council did hold a private vote on whether to keep the chief or not. You'd be the first to scream "cover up."

  20. Shanie think black pride, out new police chief will be black

  21. Shanie Shields is NOT qualified to sit on the City Council. She is not capable of independent thought, cannot think for herself, which is evidenced by her one-liners at the Council meetings. Nothing she ever says is substantive to the business of the Council. Her thoughts and votes are dictated by Comegys and Smith. I wonder how, at her age, she can be so naive, or is she stupid?

  22. Now ain't THIS interesting? If Campbell or Cohen went on WBOC stating in advance what their votes would be, we would hear Bubba and Louise squealing like stuck pigs about how they violated confidentiality. And guess who would be screamin' right alongside of them? Yep, Ms. "Sanctimonious Sounding" Shanie Shields!! Yet she herself does it and sees nothing wrong with it.

Oh well, why should I expect different? Look who her mentors are!

  23. It seems Shanie Shields is grandstanding as Comegys did. Why was she even on WBOC discussing how she will vote? All of these tactics have been planned by Comegys, Smith and Tilghman. Oh well,"stupid is as stupid does".....Forrest Gump

  24. What has been Shanie Shields' accomplishment, any one, for the residents of District 1 during her 1st term on the Council. And what were her campaign promises for her 2nd term? Does anyone know?

  25. Shanie Shields should step down. She ought to admit her incompetence, and just be what she really is.

  26. She will do the right thing even if she did the wrong thing by talking.

  27. I just watched this ignorant woman on WBOC. Who ever thought she was a swing vote? She ain't done nothing for four years, now she going to lecture the mayor about the chief?

She got a real nerve. Shanie Shields, all you done is sentence good people in Salisbury to death with your "crime ain't no problem" do nothing self.

  28. Shanie represents the black vote. Most crime statistics point to #1 males. With Webster on board doing nothing, #1 males aren't afraid and Shanie has done her job. Racist? No. Reality.

  29. Local idiots in office at its finest. Everything here is tied to the good ol boys and its painfully obvious. Ive found that alot of the local born and raised ppl here cant even spell 50% of the english language correctly, yet its likely that these are the same ppl running some local service here. Is intelligence not a job requirement here? Oh wait, just look at the local schools, where its cooler to go hunting/be a thug than it is to succeed at academics. What a high local standard we have here. No wonder this area sucks.

  30. She is so out of touch and don't have a clue.

  31. As much as I disagree with Shanie's behavior, she violates no law in disclosing how she will vote or respond to the personnel issue dealing with the Police Chief.

No vote can be taken in a Closed Session, therefore all votes must be made in public and recorded.

The purpose of the session is to allow open and candid discussion regarding sensitive matters in an attempt to inform and reach a concensus, upon which a motion is made to return to Open Session to take any action necessary resulting from the Closed Session.

Any indivdual can disclose anything that was said by them, but cannot disclose the remarks and comments of the other participants without their consent and approval.
