Salisbury Police Department Press Releases
On December 16, 2009 at approximately 3:29 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police received a call to respond to the Pro Wireless cellular store on North Salisbury Boulevard for the report of a robbery. Upon arrival the officers met with store employees who advised that two (2) suspects had entered the store demanding U.S. currency. The employees advised that one (1) of the suspects produced a handgun and pointed the weapon toward the employee at the counter. The suspects took an amount of U.S. currency from the cash register then relocated to the business next door, which was connected to Pro Wireless by an open pass through door. The business next door is Best Alterations and is owned by the same family as Pro Wireless. The suspects took an amount of U.S. currency from the cash register in Best Alterations then fled from the area on foot behind Harmon Motors.
The suspects were described as:
1. Black male, early to mid 20’s in age, 5’08”, 170-180 lbs,
medium build, wearing a tan hooded jacket, dark blue
jeans, a black ski mask, and aviator type sunglasses.
2. Black male, 18 to mid 20’s in age, 5’08”, 170-180 lbs,
medium build, also wearing a tan hooded jacket, dark
blue jeans, and a black ski mask

On December 16, 2009 at approximately 5:30 am, Officers of the Salisbury Police Department Community Action Team were operating an undercover type drug operation in the area of E. Church Street. During this operation the below listed suspect sold an amount of suspected “crack”/cocaine to an undercover police officer. The suspect was then taken into custody.
ARRESTED: Suriesh (nmn) Chacaram, 28 years of age
Salisbury, Maryland
CHARGES: Distribution of cocaine (2 counts)
Possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute
Possession of cocaine
DISPOSITION: Released to Central Booking

On December 16, 2009 at approximately 7:20 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police received a call to respond to the area of the Twilley Center for the report of a disorderly subject. Upon arrival the officers observed the below listed suspect in the roadway yelling at passing motorists. The officers made contact with the suspect but were unable to calm the suspect.
ARRESTED: June Lakador Smullen, 29 years of age
Salisbury, Maryland
CHARGES: Disorderly conduct
Failure to obey a lawful order
Resisting arrest
DISPOSITION: Released to Central Booking
