I'm sure someone has already thought of this but, when the memorial comes down, could the stuffed toys be donated to the childrens wing at PRMC or some other childrens organization?
Wouldn't it be nice if a permanent memorial could be built at the stadium. I am so touched by the amazing turnout, when the call went out for searchers and help with refreshments. It's almost as if the stadium has become sacred.
The toys would have to be sanitized to go to PRMC. It does seem like a terrible waste, maybe they can be taken to the Salvation Army or given to children that didn't have a Christmas.
For those who still have their mind made to condem the Wells you should know the Teddy bear in this picture was one of the items left on thier property. They did not destroy items left they retrieved them and yes a few balloons did slip away, but all items other then a few balloons were given to local LE and taken to the stadium. The Wells are devastated! Their once private lives and beautiful home have been violated by this monster and now a community that doesn't know the truth of the situation. Joe please post this and help give the Wells some peace. They are victims here too!

ReplyDeleteI think instead of donating to a fund that the family members would receive. Let's donate for a memorial at the stadium!
ReplyDeletehaha Joe, I didn't realize you were there when I was, I would have said hello.
