PUBLIC NOTICE
CHANGE IN MEETING LOCATION
The December 7, 2009 Special Meeting of the City Council will be held
in Council Chambers (Room 301) of the Government Office Building
(125 N. Division Street). The Special Meeting will begin at 4:00 p.m.
While Mayor Ireton welcomes the entire community to join him immediately after our Rally Monday night, Louise Smith has demanded the Council Chambers even though they will be in the Conference Room for a Work Session.
That being said, Mayor Ireton has assured me that he will immediately send me a text message just as soon as Louise Smith is finished with their new "Special Meeting."
I am more than excited to see Mayor Ireton recognizing the citizens have had enough, so much so they know there will be hundreds of people attending this rally. To open the Council Chambers and invite each and every one of you there to openly discuss ideas is EXACTLY where we all have wanted to be with our government officials. That being said, my hat is tipped to Mayor Ireton.
Please Folkls, there can't be enough people attending this event Monday night. This could be your last chance to speak up about crime and fear. Ask your neighbors, friends, family, victims and associates who have ANYTHING to do with Salisbury to attend. If you want to make a difference, be there or SHUT UP.
While Louise and Gary are steamrolling this special meeting down the taxpayers throats, listen to the audio tape again. Listen to how they REALLY feel about crime. Funding SPD It may take a while to listen to it but trust me, this is some of the best information we have ever delivered to you on Salisbury News.
The Mayor is a Pu55y for not making the changes necessary and then all this extra b//lls//t would not even be necessary. He has no go nads
ReplyDeleteThe Council has first call on the "Council Chambers" and Ireton is just doing more political grandstanding verging on farce.
ReplyDeleteIt's time for him to lead, not showboat. I hope those who attend tell him what they think of his record as mayor so far.
And he should apologize to Comegys in public for his conduct earlier this week.
don't think of it or use words like it's our "last" time to speak up.. this is the beginning of our time to step up and make our voiced heard... These people on the COuncil especially the ones that don't give a crap need to be removed.
ReplyDeleteThis is the BEGINNING--not the end of involvement!!!!
I feel so good now that our Political tap dancer of a Mayor has all of a sudden recognized our frustration and anger. He even invted us to speak. We the little people should be so grateful.
ReplyDeleteGotta love all those hypocrites, they're all falling all over themselves trying to save the day.
ReplyDeleteAs long as Webster remains in office, this meeting is nothing but a taxpayers funded 200 Thousand Dollars Charade. Keep bleeding Salisbury.
ReplyDelete10:18, that's why people need to turn out and tell the mayor and council to fire Webster.
ReplyDeleteThe mayor can fire Webster, but Webster doesn't go without three votes from the council agreeing with the mayor.
As you say, Webster needs to go.
If the mayor fires Webster and the council majority doesn't follow suit, we just remove them. Time to stop tap dancing around things being politically correct. Do what needs to be done and get it over with already.
