They are running out of water at the Shorebirds Stadium. Anyone that can donate bottled water is asked to bring it to the trailers by the main entrance. If you can help with this, please do. It is greatly appreciated and much needed.
UPDATE: They are also looking for donations of food. If you can donate anything to help feed all involved in the search for Sarah Foxwell, please take any food donations to the Station 7 trailer. Station 7 has been cooking and feeding people since they moved to the stadium and are running low.
UPDATE: Canada Dry has just donated 50 cases of water and is having them delivered at this time. Sharp Water just pulled up with a pickup load of bottled water. Many individuals have also dropped off cases of water. The kindness and generosity of our community is inspiring. To say Thank you, seems so trite.
UPDATE: A lady just called and said she purchased bottled water at a local convenience store and was charged the per bottle price for a case of water. Purchase price $37.00 per case.
UPDATE At this time Station 7 is asking that foods donated be prepared foods,or sandwiches. They are preparing for lunch at this time.
Has anyone checked the fishing hole on Jersey road west past the 4way stop. Its a irrigation pond for a farm and then on the left hand side there is a fishing hole further back on that lane. I went there this morning, and there was a vehicle track in the snow relatively fresh in a donut at the front. I walked a little further back and saw what appeared to be human & dog tracks so I stopped. I didnt want to disturb anything and if its been checked already... Also perhaps Pemberton Historical Park, The Nature Trails.
ReplyDeleteOn my way with a case of water.
ReplyDeleteI was thinking about the long road to Whitehaven, like on the way to the Red Roost?
ReplyDeleteWhat about the warehouses near the Cactus Club?
ReplyDeleteYou are tucked away & people forget about you but you came through when needed - Way to go Canada Dry-Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteIf we all would walk out of our houses and walk a mile in each direction we could all cover a lot of area. I will be walking off an on all day in my neighborhood. Or, we cold all meet at our local VFD and search our own towns. Everyone can do a little something even if it is just checking in areas around your own home!
ReplyDeleteThe last thing the defendant wanted to do that night was drive long distances with a kidnapped girl in his vehicle. This guy disposed of this little girl in an area he is familiar with. Some have said he was a bouncer at some of the local establishments. Check the dumpsters and areas around those locations. If he's a hunter, talk to friends to see where his favorite hunting areas were. He went to where he's familiar.
ReplyDeleteWhat kind of food are they looking 4 sandwiches, soups will Station 7 being cooking if we brought can foods?
ReplyDeletewith all the crimes goin on around salisbury it is hard to imagine that we have such good people here. this tragic event shows how stong our community real is.
ReplyDeleteHe did it...we know he did it, yet his civil rights take precidence. When did we become a nation of apathetic, weak minded citizens? The Greatest Generation of this country has long since left us.
ReplyDeleteI heard he used to hang out at the cactus club! That has a lot of wooded areas around there. I even heard he bounced there a few years ago. Might not be true but it would not hurt to look around that area.
ReplyDeleteMERRY CHRISTMAS SARAH, you are in our hearts.
ReplyDeleteI wiped out 2 convinence srores of water as soon as I explained what it was for they sold it at cost and the manager of each chipped in also thank you Eagle Mart north and Pure station on old OC rd
ReplyDeletethat is horrible! first you read how some are so gracious then you read how some idiots are going to make a buck off of something so tragic. I do believe in karma
ReplyDeletehow about cans of soup? i don't have a lot, but will bring what I can.
ReplyDeleteI don't know if they are set up for soup, which would require bowls or cups and spoons.
ReplyDelete9:46 we are not a nation of apathetic, weak minded citizens, nor are we/should we be a nation of vigilantes. The civil rights of 'accused' people are there to protect people who are wrongfully accused. Heaven forbid it never happens to you - but should it someday would you want someone to take out vigilant 'justice' on you before you had a trial? Innocent people have been cleared after having spent years, decades even, in prison - it happens. Yes we all know - or at least assume based on prior history - that this man is guilty. But if you take away his rights who will protect yours?
ReplyDeleteHow often do we hear that our military is over in Iraq 'fighting for our rights'? And now you want to do away with them? You can't have it both ways - unless you don't really support them.
Get over your anger because your attitude is counter productive and find a more productive way to channel it.
The LA Times has more information on this case than we do. According to their article the WCSO has more than enough evidence to prove they have the right man in custody. Now lets work together to find Sarah, we can let a judge and jury take care of Leggs.
ReplyDeleteA station in Baltimore stated that the little sister saw her leave with him and that they found her toothbrush in his truck. I don't understand why they wouldn't let us know this. In all honesty I have been worried that our search was too small because "what if" it was someone else. If what this station reports is true then I'm glad because I know that we are where we need to be on this search. And though my heart is heavy with grief for little Sarah, it is more at ease as I see our own community step up. Way to go Delmarva
ReplyDeleteI purchased 4 cases of water from the Happy Harry's in Delmar $15.00.
ReplyDeleteI'm cooking as soon I saw the post!! I'll be there as soon as it's ready!! What else do you need? Paper products? Thank you all the volunteers and Police, fire, etc! God Bless!!
ReplyDeleteCheck the industry park area
ReplyDeletePerhaps if they reveal too much info here, it may become impossible to seat an impartial jury here.. I don't know.
ReplyDeleteI'd like to know which 'convenience' store it was that ripped the lady off for the case of bottled water-- maybe we can thank them with a boycott.
I guess they don't have to discount it, but then, I guess we don't have to shop there, either, do we?
I just got back from the stadium, they said they were turning away search party volunteers....they had over 3000 volunteers.
ReplyDeleteIt is strange that the Baltimore Sun can get more information than the daily times. Local press is a joke.
ReplyDeleteIt's not right that we get the crime info from the Baltimore Sun, which had to get the documents from court -- why wasn't that info released promptly to the public?
ReplyDeletei heard he was a bouncer in OC... oc is pretty deserted this time of year, is it being checked?
ReplyDeleteim the lady it was gordy tiger mart near kmart
ReplyDeleteIt's truly inspiring to see how our community has banned together in these efforts to find Sarah. Way to go everybody. Thank you to everyone who's out searching. This is the true meaning of "community". You make us proud.
ReplyDelete...still hoping for a Christmas miracle.
Tiger Mart charged me per bottle for the water I bought. While I am happy to help out in any way I can Gordy's Tiger Mart should be ashamed of themselves.
ReplyDeleteBill and Karen should be made aware of it. I guarantee it was an employee not the owners that charged them per bottle
ReplyDelete10:54 AM
ReplyDeleteI agree with you. Gordy Tiger Mart donated a lot of things yesterday I was told by someone who was out there searching. I'm sure the owners wouldn't have done that.
crossroad foodmart 2601 old ocean city rd support this store they did not price gouge phone #4105489400 they said call ahead and they will have what you need ready they gave us cases of water and pizzas at a very nice cost good caring people
ReplyDeleteI am shocked at the turnout & so proud of you all. This shows what we are really made of. On Christmas morning for people to give of their personal time is amazing. I already said this, but it bares repeating - to those who so unselfishly left your comfortable homes on a holiday - God is watching you!
