A 42 year old male has been stabbed twice in the back on Hazel Ave. in Salisbury. More to come........

  1. S'cuse me? Stabbings don't count as crimes in Salisbury anymore.

  2. What's it going to be this time? Drugs, a woman, gang/pimp/dealer/ turf conflict, an armed robbery, a drug/alcohol-fueled argument, a vendetta, a culinary event gone bad?

    Whatever it is, it sucks.

  3. Hope this isn't a sign of how the weekend will go.

  5. Ehhhh probably this one doesn't even warrant 1 officer on the scene...

  6. Hazel avenue has been used heavily the passt dozen or so years as a rental area for SU students. I wonder how mom and dad would feel knowing that Jr.'s 42 year old neighbor was stabbed (or shot as has happened before)? That Smith Street/Hazel Avenue/Ohio Avenue area is the wild west, I'm telling ya.

  8. Salisbury Neighborhood Housing had done a heck of a job getting homeowners back on Hazel Ave. and turning the street in the right direction. The city failed miserably in doing their part to maintain the gains of SNHS. Now Hazel has been lost again. We all need to work together to take our city back.

  9. Has anyone heard about the girl who was raped/beaten at Chef Freds last Friday night. I heard she was in ICU and paralyzed from the waste down. This supposedly happened in the parking lot. Anybody else heard anything??? This is just what I heard. Trying to figure out if it really happened.

  10. Not to worry - crime has been down since Webster took over 10 years ago. Is he on drugs? Maybe I have missed something or maybe they didn't report crimes over the past 10 years and we just think crime is up.

  14. There is so much self proclamation around here. Best community for young ppl, best place to raise kids, one of the most beautiful places on earth, better than all the scary big cities. All I ever here about is all these supposed "best" this and "best" that. The only one Ive found true is "best" city for violent crimes.

Where I grew up (not here) it was a good safe community with good jobs, good schools and good real estate prices that made life easy since you didnt have to work your a$$ off to make a living. Taxes were somewhat high but public services were executed relatively well. Infrastructure was top notch, street lights everywhere (a HUGE crime deterrent), very low crime stats, curbs on every road, sidewalks everywhere, city water/sewer and good police/fire services. They never won any "best of" categories, yet ppl knew life there was good and fulfilling. Here everyone brags about all these best of awards and I fail to see any of them being even remotely true. Everyone here needs to look up the words common courtesy and study it. There isnt any here and if there was this bickering and fighting amongst the community would stop.

BTW the community in my hometown was growing by leaps and bounds as well and crime wasnt a problem. Ignorance here is bliss.

  16. I heard that the woman was drugged, beaten and raped, left in her car with her neck broken. She was in the ICU at PRMC and is now paralyzed. Where is the reporting on this? Women should be warned that this type of crime is going on!

  17. I was aware of this but got several conflicting stories. The real story will be covered very soon by Stacy Sakai at WMDT. Once she airs her Show we'll touch on it but most of what's being said is inaccurate. While something did indeed happen and it was extremely serious, Stacy has the inside story and isn't sharing it until it is complete. She is no longer at PRMC and has been transported to Shock Trauma.

  18. Stabbed twice in the back. Hmmmm - not crime. Sounds like attempted suicide, or maybe a cooking accident.

  19. I am sorry for the victim of rape and assault but criminals beware, if you touch one head on any of my daughters, their children, my grandchildren. The best thing for you to do is turn yourself in immediately. I will hunt you down and give you a top notch lesson in pain. You are much safer in the hands of the police than if I were to find you, and I will find you. I am capable of making the Talibans torture look like childs play. You have been warned.

  20. great comment city goer, especially the point about lack of common courtesy. infrastructure is also a good point, good lighting, streets with reflectors in the city. the bickering back and forth among the leaders is not helpful. your comments speak for themself city goer above and are well said. please provide any good ideas you might have for this town as those higher up could use your insight
