  2. there is no sense in a bunch of posts saying, basically, the same thing over and over such as:

    "help is on the way"

    "how about it, mayor"

    "how about it, chiefy"

    "Shanie, is this real crime?"

don't even start a thread like that. You all have been discussing and ruminating about this crime topic for months and months and where has it gotten you?

Its every person for themselves. Its obvious NO ONE in Salisbury will help us anymore. Arm yourselves and shoot the first bastturd that approaches you in parking lots or your home. Shot the first hooded bastturd out past 10 PM. Its time to declare war.

  7. Salisbury Police Department is under staffed. The street patrol can not be everywhere anticipating crime with only 6-9 officers on patrol on any given night. Your City Council needs to allot money for more positions. If it was as easy as the Chief asking for help don't you think help would be here. Businesses will have to take on more precautions, one not being shooting at a suspicious person. In the city more urban areas, no one enters a convenience store or a hotel after a certain hour mostly 11:00p.m. You have to approach a bullet proof window and ask the clerk to pick up whatever you need from the store. The Mayor and the City Council are not the only ones with power. The power is with the people and until crime is enacted upon you then you will want to do something about it and its not shoot the first person out after 10p.m.

    WHERE ARE YOU?

  11. 12:04, WOW! What an incredibly intelligent and insightful solution you have there. How long did it take you to think up that one?

Get a life , the council , comegy,
shields and smith have been told for 2 years that crime is a problem.
They didn't believe it. I've watched the meetings , have you?
Don't give me that boat load of crap it's up to the people. The mayor hasn't been in office very long and this was a problem way before Ireton. 6 officers on patrol
may not be enough , but the areas of responsibility are with the chief. He has done nothing to help.
He could have 10 officers on a night and nothing would change unless he changes his priorities. You are right about businesses taking the law into their own hands. That is the only way things will get done in this town. I will be carrying everywhere I go and hope and pray someone tries something with me or my family.
We are tired of this $hit. I don't know if you have noticed the bad guys , but I will tell you this , they all have one thing in common in the discription , take a guess .I didn't ever think I would be a racist , but I am now.

  14. Joe I am pissed as a twenty plus year crime fighter in this county it angers me that Salisbury City waits 55 minutes to give this information to allied agencies. Do they want the F**cking help or not. Do you they a crap about the safety of fellow officers out there.

I dare anyone to blame Webster for this. You lazy pucks. At least have enough knowledge or basic police sense to get the bolo out in time.

    1. Might catch the s.o.b.

    2. It could save a brothers life.

    3. It is the right thing to do.

    enough is enough

  15. Well, if the chief can't do his job and they can't get rid of him , I have the solution. CUT his pay way back , other agencies do it. We are in a recession and it is the right thing to do. See if that's in the charter!

  16. Can't anyone just blow these a$$e$ to smithereneville....I am sure there are many for hire out there who would love to stand guard in the milk cooler with their 30 ought 6 for the pleasure of it.
The only way this is going to stop is if vigilantes step up to the plate and give a show of what a lesson is.

  17. there are so many problems with crime in the city...911 calls are transferred to them
they're more worried about them catching the perp then wondering which agency gets the job done.

  18. It isnt going to stop, never. It will just keep gradualy getting worse until the two societies clash in violent explosion.

  24. I admit that the chief isnt doing his job but honestly Salisbury isnt exactly perfect either. You have incredibly high truancy and dropout rates (top 5 in the state)in the local high schools, you have a general public that is rather ingorant to what REALLY goes on here and would rather deny everything instead of admit what Salisbury truly is. Then you add in the gang, drug and poverty issues and you have the perfect storm for what has been happening here for years. REAL news here is swept under the rug and nearly all of the local govt is ran by the good ol boy network of friends and family that have only one agenda, line their pockets with money and deny deny deny. Until someone actually addresses the high school truancy, the poverty, the drugs and gang activity things will get worse. One man cannot fight all those issues alone, but a new face with new ideas will help. Absolutely none of these problems happened overnight, there has been so much denying, both by Salisbury's residents, by the MSM locally and by the local govt officials. Issues like this get solved in most cities and towns because there is accountability at the local level. Here, its covered up. Anywhere else would have a huge local news special about how bad the crime has gotten and how many robberies there have been in the past 6 months. Instead we get news coverage for the ignorant, weather specials, how cold it'll be and how the farmers cant get the soybeans harvested. Why is that news when ppl have died or been scarred for life by local violence. How can anyone be happy with the low standard that is so ever-present here? Does anything get done correctly around here, or with any amount of pride at all?

  25. hey jet black

how many times has the chesapeake inn been busted for prostituiton or anything else? my family stays there when they come to town, and we are yet to have a problem with the motel. even tripadvisor shows that the chesapeake has a higher rating than the days inn.

    ReplyDelete
  26. hey 7:31 you talking about the 1 review on tripadvisor? that hardly counts as a reliable rating. But either way, i would never ever stay there. Even if the hotel looked like the hilton on the inside.

  27. hey 8:26,
did YOU stay at one of the 4 robbed hotels today? because I think the guy robbed you of your common sense. have you EVER stayed there? why wouldn't you?

  28. Sounds like some of the citizens are on the verge of anarchy. When the smoke clears, who will have won? My money is on the thugs. Salisbury has a mutated breed of thugs who are difficult to identify and apprehend. They have back-up from their buddies long distance. And believe me, you haven't seen anything yet!

  29. 2:40 You need to get a grip. And racist you are. What was the description of the PNC bank robber. Crime has no color, it is unfortunate that you become a racist because a black man robbed three hotels without a weapon. WTF>>
