Wicomico County Sheriff's Office Press Release
Incident: Possession of CDS
Date of Incident: 24 November 2009
Location: Ocean Gateway at Sixty Foot Road, Pittsville, MD
Suspect:
1. Phalon Jones, 24, Salisbury, MD
2. Andrew Davis, 24, Salisbury, MD
Narrative: On 24 November 2009 at 7:11 PM, a deputy from the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office stopped a vehicle driven by Phalon Jones for erratic driving on Ocean Gateway in the Pittsville area. Upon contacting the operator and his passenger, Andrew Davis, the deputy observed indicators of possible criminal activity. A WCSO Drug K9 team arrived to scan the vehicle for the presence of the odor of illegal drugs, during which the dog alerted to positively. Deputies on scene searched the vehicle based on that alert and other probable cause that existed. During the search the deputies located a substantial amount of marijuana hidden inside several duffle bags in the truck. When weighed, the marijuana totaled over 700 grams. Also located inside the vehicle was a set of digital scales. A subsequent search of Davis’ Salisbury residence revealed additional marijuana and another set of digital scales. The total weight of all marijuana seized was approximately two and one-half pounds.
Both Jones and Davis were placed under arrest and transported to the Central Booking Unit where they were processed and taken in front of the District Court Commissioner. After an initial appearance, both Jones and Davis were detained by the Commissioner in lieu of $25,000.00 and $50,000.00 bond respectively.
The investigation into this case was conducted with the involvement of the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office, the Worcester County Sheriff’s Office and the Wicomico County narcotics Task Force.

Possession of Marijuana
Possession of Marijuana with the Intent to Distribute
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

ReplyDeleteSounds like a classic victimless crime to me.No wonder our prisons are overcrowded. We let dangerous criminals, including child molesters, walk but OMG lets persecute and lock up anyone selling some weed.
They arrest someone for marijuana, but what they should be doing is sitting outside of bars so they can arrest someone like that retarded alcoholic,(ABOVE PIC),when he attemtps to drive home.
ReplyDeleteyes we arrest them all.
