Vaccine Discussion

Joe,

There has been lively discussion by the commenters on the vaccine issue. I think it a good idea to post another article dealing with accusations that all vaccines and H1N1 vaccine in particular, are dangerous to human health.

Each of us need to consider the evidence presented by all parties before making a decision about vaccine safety. It is a subject that few of us possess expert knowledge, yet it is also a topic of tremendous importance.

  1. If people want to continue listening to fear-mongers and those who refuse to believe the overwhelming weight of scientific authority, then there's not much the rest of us can do. Unfortunately, by rejecting vaccines it is their children who may ultimately suffer. Too bad kids have to pay the price for the ignorance of the parents.

Vaccines are safe, people. There really is no debate on this matter. On one side you have the entire scientific community, excepting a few cranks. The scientific evidence is clear that vaccines don't cause harm. On the other side you have conspiracy theorists, discredited scientists, and Jenny McCarthy and Jim Carry. Go ahead and take medical advice from Ace Ventura if you want. My family is going to follow the scientific consensus.

  2. It is a long read, but excellent article. It is time we started thinking for ourselves and stop acting like sheep being led to slaughter.

We have lost our common sense and get wrapped up in all the hysteria. After this article, read the one where a student was forceably held down and injected or the one where NY state healthcare workers either get the shot or get fired. Is that freedom to choose?

Historically you will find evidence of huge corruption and coverups with meds that kill that go on for years. Theory is the income generated outweighs the few payouts due to wrongful death/injury lawsuits. Most injured do not have the resources to sue or can't find a competent lawyer.

80% of the general practioners are just drug pushers, masking symptoms - few actually take the time past their prescription pad to resolve a problem.

  3. Marc i agree that Most of vaccines are safe , BUT that is after much research and testing. The current hin1 vaccines was rushed and not properly tested, and there have been some horrible problems because of this .Dont label caution as "fear mongering ."

  4. as a former marine, i have personally seen how our government lies cheats steals and performs every other act I find morally reprehensible. I had a conversation with my CO one day and explained to him we were no better than any other morally bankrupt regime in the world. His answer, but we do it for all the right reasons! whereas they do it for all the wrong reasons. There is never a reason to conduct policies that are morally bankrupt, which harm innocent people. Notice I said innocent!
Everything is based on power and the almighty dollar. I'll never trust any member of any government or anything they push! And to Marc @ 8:31, since even that puppet in the white house has refused to get his offspring vaccinated I would presume he is also one of the ignorant parents you are talking about.
    Keep drinking the kool-aid, FOOLS!
I am sure if the government told you you had to kill yourself you would comply? right?

  5. ranger, the swine flu vaccine has been tested as much as any other flu vaccine. There haven't been horrible problems because of it, regardless of what some anti-vaccine people claim.

To 2:11 -- Obama has indeed had his children vaccinated against swine flu. Check your facts.
