The Significance Of The Bow: Obama Is A House Servant For The Global Elite

The predictable response to criticism surrounding Obama’s botched bow to Emperor Akihito this weekend has been to claim that the outrage is a contrived creation of the political right-wing. However, the Japanese themselves are obviously just as embarrassed about the whole spectacle.

Despite the fact that Obama was widely criticized for bowing to King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia, an incident the White House ludicrously tried to deny even though it was plain as day on video, he again prostrated himself before royalty by awkwardly lurching forward at a near 90 degree angle to show his fealty to the Japanese Emperor and his wife at the Imperial Palace on Saturday.

Top Japanese newspapers like Kyodo have refused to print the image out of embarrassment. Video footage of the entire exchange shows Obama profusely bowing like a house servant no less than seven times in the space of under 30 seconds.

“Kyodo News is running his appropriate and reciprocated nod and shake with the Empress, certainly to show the president as dignified, and not in the form of a first year English teacher trying to impress with Karate Kid-level knowledge of Japanese customs,” writes a source quoted by ABC News’ Jake Tapper.

“Obama’s handshake/forward lurch was so jarring and inappropriate it recalls Bush’s back-rub of Merkel,” he adds.

  1. Bowing is a tradition in japan. It is not the same as bowing in front of a king. I would hope that the bow was reciprocated. Bowing does not infer inferiority in any way. It is just a mark of respect.
In the eyes of you right wing nutters there were only 2 mistakes he could have made:

    1) He bows to the emperor

    2) He does not bow to the emperor.

Since he made one of the 2 mistakes the attacks on him are justified.

  2. I'm sure Bush would have done a far better bow...he seemed to do quite well when faced with two size 10 coming at him. Do you really have to pick apart every little thing that this man does? He did not drive us into this economic mess but he and his cabinet are trying to help us get out. It took us longer to get into this current situation than he has been in office. Give him a break, give Jim Ireton a break, give us a break with your tyrant like tirades. Time will tell and the people will see!

  4. Obama was absolutely correct.
Bowing is considered a proper eitquette in most Asian countries.
If you want to keep bashing him, find something of substance like keep telling people that he is a muslim or he does not have his birth certificate.

  5. Re: 8:50--Didn't your mother tell you that name-calling is childish? Also, Japan begins with a capital "J" versus the small "j" you used. I would be interested to know the level of your education. We already know the low level of your intelligence quotient!

  6. Also just to add. In Japan it is not normal for the Emp to return the bow. He may give a simple nod in return. Kind of like the Queen of England does not return a curtsey. Some Americans think we deserve more respect and should treat ourselves above everyone and every leader. IN Japan the Emp. is the head dog not the POTUS and so I have no problem with the POTUS whoever it is showing the Emp the respect he deserves while in his land.

  8. Obama is well...Obama, 'nough said.
Just to think of all those poor kids named after him, his wife, and their kids. In 3 years and 2 months when he has completely ruined this country those same kids, who's parents decided stupidly on impulse, will be teased and called out for being named after one of the biggest family disgraces in American history.

All you have is the capitalization of a letter. You should have not posted anything. I am interested in your education level.

  10. Come on folks

The article makes a claim that Obama is a puppet of the financial masters.

    Let's talk about that?

What do you think? Is he a puppet, chosen by the elite to appease the poor down-trodden?

Give him a few more months, im sure they will find hard evidence against him and it will be out in the open. Someone from his wacky team will spill the beans. Might find a blunt in the bathroom or something.
