Salisbury Police Department Press Releases
On October 29, 2009 at approximately 6:02 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police arrested the below listed suspect on an outstanding Dorchester County District Court Bench warrant for failing to appear in court for a hearing. A search of the suspect’s person, incident to arrest, revealed two (2) smoking devices each containing suspected “crack”/cocaine residue.
ARRESTED: Kisha Denise Cheeks, 38 years of age Cambridge, Maryland
CHARGES:
Dorchester Co. District Court Bench Warrant-
Failure to appear in court
Possession of cocaine
Possession of CDS/paraphernalia
DISPOSITION: Released to Central Booking CC # 200900038611/200900038612
On October 29, 2009 at approximately 6:30 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police received a call to respond to the Boscovs Department Store at the Centre at Salisbury for the report of two (2) shoplifters. Upon arrival the officers met with store security who advised that store employees had observed the below listed suspects take items from the store without making any attempts at payment. The property was recovered and returned to the store.
ARRESTED #1: Juvenile, 16 years of age Dagsboro, Delaware
ARRESTED #2: Juvenile, 16 years of age Millville, Delaware
CHARGES (Both): Theft (under $ 100)
DISPOSITION: Both released to guardians CC # 200900038488
On October 29, 2009 at approximately 7:04 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police received a call to respond to the Superfresh Store on East College Avenue for the report of a shoplifter. Upon arrival the officers met with store security who advised the officers that store employees had observed the below listed suspect take property from the store without making any attempts at payment. The suspect then fled from the store. Officers located the suspect approximately two (2) blocks from the store and the property was recovered.
ARRESTED: Gregory Allen Wickham, 57 years of age Salisbury, Maryland
CHARGES: Theft (under $ 1,00)
DISPOSITION: Released to Central Booking CC # 200900038622
On October 30, 2009 at approximately 2:53 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police received a call to respond to the Walmart Department Store on North Salisbury Boulevard for the report of two (2) shoplifters. Upon arrival the officers met with store security who advised that store employees had observed the below listed suspects take food and clothing items from the store without making any attempts at payment. The property was recovered and returned to the store.

ARRESTED #2: Dawn Marie Boyd, 44 years of age Rhodesdale, Maryland
CHARGES (Both):
Theft (under $ 1000)
Malicious Destruction of Property
DISPOSITION: Both released to Central Booking CC # 200900038762
On October 31, 2009 at approximately 12:55 am, Officers of the Salisbury Police were on routine patrol in the area of E. Isaballa Street and observed the below listed suspect on property posted against trespassing. As the officers approached the suspect, the suspect dropped a clear plastic bag of suspected “crack”/cocaine. The suspected cocaine was retrieved and the suspect was taken into custody.
ARRESTED: Ernest Henry Chisum, 55 years of age Salisbury, Maryland
CHARGES:
Possession of cocaine
Possession of CDS/paraphernalia
DISPOSITION: Released to Central Booking CC # 200900038860
On October 31, 2009 at approximately 1:32 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police were on routine patrol in the area of Ohio Avenue and Waverly Drive and observed the below listed suspect. A routine records check revealed that the suspect was wanted as a fugitive from the State of Delaware for Violation of Probation.
ARRESTED: Deborah Anne Bragg, 41 years of age Salisbury, Maryland
CHARGES:
Fugitive – Delaware
Violation of Probation
DISPOSITION: Released to Central Booking CC # 200900038907
On November 1, 2009 at approximately 9:40 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police were on routine patrol in the area of East Church Street and Railroad Avenue and observed the below listed suspect riding a bicycle without a headlight. The suspect was stopped and a routine check for weapons revealed that the suspect had a number of baggies of suspected “crack”/cocaine in his pockets. The suspect was checked further and found to be in possession of two (2) additional bags of suspected marijuana.
ARRESTED: Desean Demar Strand, 21 years of age Salisbury, Maryland
CHARGES:
Possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute
Possession of cocaine
Possession of marijuana
DISPOSITION: Released to Central Booking CC # 200900039106
