  7. Why does the city get blamed for crime that happens in the county?! anon 310 shouldn't your post say Hey Lewis, isn't that called crime! to be politically correct

  8. Oh little Gen-Poppers why not get a job?
Is it much easier to lie, cheat and rob?
You think the world owes you all the treats it has to give.
But you would rather take then earn
    and wont let people live.
The path that you have choosen will lead you to a place.
Where steel doors slam behind you and your just a pretty face.
You better change your ways and learn whats right and wrong.
Or Big Bubba will be standing naked over you with a really giant...
He will call you his little baby and make you fold his shorts.
The only thing that may save you is a bad case of anal warts.

  9. Lewis is on it smart a$$. If it happened in the city we'd find out about it in a day or two then there would be another cold case sitting over on Route 50 & Delaware Ave.

City or county doesn't really matter does it? A shooting is a shooting. Besides the reservation is only one line waiting to be drawn on the annexation map.

  10. apparently it DOES matter to YOU or you would not have brought it up! MY point IS that we all need to work TOGETHER and stop playing the blame game and constantly beating the city down. I think they do a hell of a job for the resources given. The officers don't tie themselves up with the politics, they go out there day after day night after night and put forth 100% despite being grossly understaffed and having to deal with idiots like you blaming them for what happens outside their jurisdiction! GOOD DAY SIR!

  11. That is in the city.

  12. The whole area has turned into a shithole. Saturation patrols in the bad areas would help probably. I cant imagine what the older good citizens who just are unlucky enough to live in some of these areas must feel like. Scared to death probably. Find out who the enemy is, where he is and crush him.

  13. 3:26 you are sadly mistaken if you think I blame any of the road officers/street patrolmen. No one knows better than I how hard it is to do good police work with your hands tied. The fact still remains crime is high in all of Salisbury, in and out of the city limits. Difference is deputies are allowed to do police work, where the city officers are working with a handicap. Handicap being, no support from admin.
    Sir, good day to you.

  14. 3:21 - thats hilarious! and so true.

  15. 3:22 I agree. As long as the Sheriff's office is involved, we have a chance.

  17. I think Lewis is good at what he does, don't get me wrong, but you all are acting like a buch of teenage groupies who would eat a crap sandwich if he fed it to you. You are only idolizing Lewis because you hate webster. By doing so you are also bashing all of the spd officers who are out there doing the best they can with what little they are given. Do you think they like the city getting a million dollar fire boat while they drive junk cars with over 100k miles on them?

    ReplyDelete
  18. 4:07 you are wrong. Mike Lewis doesn't have to get out of bed to make Webster look bad, he does that all by himself. You are also wrong about bashing the officers. They aren't responsible for the lack of leadership that comes from the top. Webster doesn't care what they want or need as long as his car is in good shape and he can go home to Marion every night is all he cares about. The only reason SFD got that million dollar fireboat is because of the council majority. No one else in the city wants it.

  19. Are the Salisbury police officers allowed to go on strike?

    ReplyDelete
  20. 4:18 that would be ugly.

    ReplyDelete
  21. I think its against the law.

    ReplyDelete
  22. He would be under some pressure then wouldnt he.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Great idea! If they're not out there, and we're all carrying, crime will just plain stop.

    ReplyDelete
  24. 4:07 nothing could be further than the truth. Us locals have known Mike Lewis for over 25 years during his tenure with MSP and then the Sheriff's office. He was well respected and liked way way before he ran for office. The fact he was elected with over 70% of the vote ought to tell you something, but then again, I guess you know it all already?

    ReplyDelete
  25. That drug bust on the by-pass put Mr Lewis on the local map.

    ReplyDelete
  26. No the City Officers do not have collective bargining and can not strike. The area where this occured IS NOT in the City limits of Salisbury.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I know that, but I also know you could shoot a marble to the city line. Collective bargaining huh. Would they be in violation of their contract or the Law? Or both?

  28. who needs a race war. they're exterminating themselves ...

No! But there is such a thing as the Blue Flu!!

  31. 5:49 maybe one of the ones where he shot a unarmed motorist. aleast one of them died. i personally know one that sued the state for a hell of alot and won. he shot him unarmed under a porch.

  32. 5:47 your heartless and whould be the first to die.

  33. 3:26 That's BS I could name a whole bunch of SPD Officers who don't do crap, even if it unfolds right in front of them! 100% right!

  34. Blue flu goes on rampant at SPD, sore backs, broken toes, stress leave, and sore pinkies.

  35. Arguing over whose jurisdiction this is and who is to blame. Ridiculous!! Crime is crime, whether its county or city related. Get rid of the know-it-all crap and realize that the entire area has problems. Drugs, gangs, guns, you name it. Just because it happened 2 feet out of the cities boundary doesnt mean the scenario started there. This is one of the reasons why this place sucks. Regular citizens arguing about the location of a crime and whose chiefs' fault it is. How bout finding the cause and solving something instead of blaming someone else. If the local law enforcement organizations(city and county)treat each other this way, no wonder crime is sky high. You'd think that all the recent crime sprees would bring citizens together to help the situation, not here. Welcome to the eastern shore.

  36. time for an armed citizen militia. start at one end of town and go to other end. turn around and repeat.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Eliminate the Salisbury Police force asap and give all resources to the Sheriff's office. Be done with incompetence!

    ReplyDelete
  38. If the police are just going to do nothing then when I get home tonight, I guess I'm going to have to dig out the bat signal. At this point, I think it's the only hope we have.

    ReplyDelete
  39. 12:36,
I can't help but think you're the same person who keeps posting on many topics with your rant about armed citizens.
You may need to talk to someone about this. You seem to have a problem and quite frankly, I hope I never run into you on the street somewhere because you're scary enough here on this blog.
You are one of the people I would hope was NOT armed.

you're scared of people protecting themselves? I guess you're not scared of the ones who are armed and killing people in this area.
Be prepared to be a victim, but don't talk others into being one.
And when that day comes, I don't want to hear one whining word from you.
People like you who lay down and roll over SCARE me. Your way sure isn't working is it?

And you sound like the same one who encourages people to be a victim. You yourself may get your wish. Attitudes like yours gives a green light to the criminals. (Or maybe you are a criminal and don't want people to oppose you?)
