INCIDENT: Daytime Residential Burglaries
DATE: September thru October
LOCATION: Wicomico County and Southern Delaware

NARRATIVE: In September the Maryland State Police and Wicomico Sheriffs Office began to experience reports of daytime burglaries throughout Wicomico County. The target of the burglaries mainly seemed to be jewelry. Detectives from the Wicomico Bureau of Investigation developed two suspects through pawn and precious metal dealer records. Victim’s identified recovered jewelry as being their property. Arrest warrants were issued for the suspects.

On 10/18/09 the suspects were apprehended. A search of the suspects residence resulted in the recovery of additional stolen jewelry which was later identified by numerous victims from Wicomico County and Southern Delaware. This investigation is ongoing as additional victim’s may be located.
