  3. 9:36...yours has got to be the most retarded post on this blog all week. You make the argument for healthcare reform and the public option in spades. Thanks for being so f*cking stupid.

  4. You have to remember, Franken was a comedian. What do you expect grom a comedian

  5. @9:36

You totally missed the point. They don't have bankruptcies because your medical bills are already paid for. You don't have to worry about losing your home if you get cancer or some other debilitating disease.

  6. The girl behind Al is really hot.

  7. Socialist countries own the people so they won't have bankruptcies unless they want them. She turned the tables on this idiot and he was outraged and quickly ended his questions after some B.S. excuses .

I will take being bankrupt because I got the medical treatment I needed over being dead because I didn't get the treatment I needed.

  10. I don't care what he has to say but who is the hot chick sitting behind him.

  11. @10:47

You may not get your treatments if your insurance company deems them unnecessary.

  12. Franken shut her down!!!! No one here can argue that.

  13. He smoked her good. Not really a fan of his, but he got her on that point. and 11:17, I hope you are referring to our present system which routinely withholds treatments. You have perhaps heard of pre existing conditions? I honestly think health care in the US is way to commercial to ever be universal. There is just too much for the big drug and insurance companies to lose to allow a government option. Its a shame because the health care world is very broken.

  14. Al Franken got elected fraudulently by the illegal and immoral actions of ACORN.

  15. Franken is an ACORN elected senator therefore fraudulent !

  16. Yes that chick is hot! and 11:17 - right on! Its a shame that people go bankrupt because the cost for medical attention is unaffordable. Its rediculous...it hurts the have nots allot.

  17. Perhaps, instead of health care reform, we should focus on spelling and grammar reform programs for the Eastern Shore and its contingent of blog commenters.

    What do you say about that 9:36, 9:43, 10:39, 11:15, 11:35, and 12:44?

Yes, Al Franken was a comedian. Ronald Reagan was an actor, and a bad one at that. How do you think that affected his on-the-job performance?

  18. this is 11:15. what's your point 1:32?

  19. How do you know when a liberal is beat ? answer = They desperately start checking grammar to try and change the subject !!!!!

  20. Franken didn't get her at all ! He's comparing apples to oranges . Boy she really did turn the tables on him and he turned tail and ran !

  21. I'm gonna tell ya something.

I've been watching this Franken character lately.

The sonofagun is smart. He handles people well.

I looked up the stats on the U.S. and healthcare this weekend. On our economy. Our infant mortality rate. I'll tell ya, I just started reading and reading and reading!

Conclusion: the U.S., for all it puts into healthcare, SUXX at healthcare!

The nutty comedian is not so nutty after all. I'm gonna keep an ear out for more of what he has to say because he's obviously got the balls to say it!

  22. Who cares about Franken he is irrelevant ! The real point here is the Democrats forced banks to loan to people that couldn't afford them and despite warnings from the Bush administration Barney Frank and Chris Dodd said all is well and then the banks failed ! So the point is don't let Democrats do for health care what they did for banking !!!

  23. I get it now... Lets bankrupt the country instead! AL so smart, thanks bud!
Remember, the Medicare system is a great model of how effective the government can be once they get their hands on it. Dont forget Amtrak, US Postal Service, Motor Vehicle Administration, Public Schools, Entitlement Programs.....I mean, who in their right mind would argue against these fine examples of government efficiencies.

  24. I think its Ironic that he accuses her of cherry picking when she asks him about mortality rates, but he only cites countries where there were no bankrupcies. Isn't that ALSO cherry picking? what a hypocrite!

  25. The question she should have asked Franken, since he 'appears' to be so knowledgeable of these countries health statistics is how many people in these countries have died from waiting for treatment or being denied treatment? and how many have gone out of contry for treatment which they, for one reason or another, could not get at home?

    ReplyDelete
  26. Anon 7:24 -- can you answer those questions? Show some statistics...
