Rep. Kratovil: Economic Report Is Encouraging, But More Work Is Needed
Washington, DC –
Rep. Frank released the following statement today after the announcement that the economy grew by 3.5% in the third quarter of 2009:
“Today’s announcement that the economy grew by 3.5% in the last quarter is encouraging news. Maryland families have been hit hard by this recession, and these latest figures give us some hope that things will start looking up soon. But we still have a lot of work to do. The ultimate goal is job creation, and we can’t afford for this to be a jobless recovery. I will continue to look at all options to spur job growth by backing small business, supporting middle class families, and sticking to fiscally responsible spending practices.”
Rep. Frank Kratovil
The problem with this post is that Kratovil misstated the first sentance.
ReplyDeleteIt should say " The number of people on the Government payroll grew by 3.5% in the last quarter.
These guys just can't stop lying, can they?
Its a false number, dont fall for it.
ReplyDeleteThe economy grew by 3.5% . . .
ReplyDeleteThe Government is doing all of the spending - at least they have told us so! Where is it's evidence?
In addition, it is deficit spending at that!
The Fed is buying the Treasury Bills. This is the definition of "monetizing the debt".
We are in peril
Call your favorite architect or engineer and ask them how busy they are.
ReplyDeleteThey aren't busy which means things aren't going to change quickly. No construction means limited job growth.
"sticking to fiscally responsible spending practices" What BS! Is he mentally impaired or has he no grasp of numbers? Are we to believe the stimulus was responsible spending? And what exactly is a JOBLESS recovery? Sounds like an oxymoron to me. What are your plans for after the next election Frank? I hear they need a door greeter at the Salisbury Walmart and you do not have to have any comprehension of numbers.
ReplyDeleteI don't beleive this guy anymore - his actions speaks louder than his flowery speeches and they stink to boot!
ReplyDelete4:11, How would increasing the number of people on the Government payroll increase the GDP? Either let us know, or say uncle and admit that you know nothing about economics.
ReplyDeleteWhether the number is real or not you all act like you know anything about economics but really you are just shouting and saying things you think you heard on fox news.
I would like to know who they think they are fooling! I haven't seen any improvement here on the shore, people are still loosing their homes, people are still loosing their jobs, and crime is higher than ever! I think kratovil needs to come down from his ivory tower, and start meeting with his constituents.
ReplyDeleteNext month his pal Obama is going to appoint 500,000 more czars. Frank how about stopping pissing on our shoes and telling us it's raining.
ReplyDeleteObama said it before he was elected "share the wealth". Why is anyone surprised by what is going on, Obama, Kratovil and the democrats are doing just what they said they would do. Spread the wealth until everyone is broke!
ReplyDeleteOK Frank, I really need the government to help me. How about ol Washington just cash up all Americans below $1,000,000 in the ol checkbook up to $1,000,000. Walla! All problems solved as we all are now millionares! Thanks buddy! (Moron)
ReplyDeleteStart packing you are history. And to think I fell for the BS that you fed me. Never again Mr. Obamavil.
