ANNAPOLIS, MD (October 22, 2009) – Governor Martin O’Malley and Lieutenant Governor Anthony Brown will be honored tomorrow at the Maryland Network Against Domestic Violence 2009 Annual Meeting and Awards Luncheon for their work during the 2009 legislative session to remove firearms from the hands of domestic abusers. The legislation passed by the General Assembly this year provides judges with an additional tool to ensure the safety of Maryland’s families by granting them authority to remove weapons from homes early during domestic violence proceedings.
The Maryland Network Against Domestic Violence has been working since 1980 to eliminate domestic violence in Maryland through education, training, and advocacy.
Just remember, the Maryland General Assembly (Democrat Majority) VOTED DOWN an Andy Harris / Alex Mooney bill that would have allowed women put in danger by domestic violence to receive training and automatically get a concealed carry permit in order to defend themselves.
ReplyDeleteSo your ex is beating down the door! Who you gonna call? 911?
Yeah they'll be there on time, sure.
Show me a women who can't defend herself and I'll show you a victim.
O'Malley and the democrats in the Maryland legislature USED the tragedy in Tony Brown's life in order to create more victims, and he alllowed it. It's SICK.
This legislation is just another encroachment on Marylander's 2nd Amendment rights. Andy Harris introduced a bill allowing the violence victims the right to concealed carry and it was not passed.
ReplyDeleteMy advice is when the system fails you, get creative. Have a squirt gun with acid ready for the eyes, then use a bat. If he has a PFA issued on him, its self defense. Earl had to die.
ReplyDeleteF*** PFA, 45 cal!
