Fencing Operation Shut Down In Southbridge

Suspect(s): Flalandis Davis, 46, of South Heald Street, Wilmington, Delaware
Resume: On Friday, October 23rd, detectives from Troop 2 made a significant arrest in regards to a fencing operation in the Southbridge community of Wilmington.
This case came to light as officers received information about the store Mary Blossoms, on South Heald Street, and how the business was known to buy and then sell stolen / shoplifted goods.
It was learned that the business owner- Flalandis Davis- was paying cash for stolen goods other shoplifters would bring him. He would turn around and place the stolen goods right back on display in his own store to sell. As the case unfolded, it was determined business was purchasing a variety of ‘hot’ items which included, but was not limited to, soap, deodorant, pain relievers, batteries, pagers, MP3 players, bedding, shaving cream, razors and clothing, amongst other things.
A search warrant was obtained and on October 19th, Troopers raided the business. Over $8,000.00 in stolen property was seized. Also located was approximately 4 grams of suspected marijuana and packaging materials.
The case came to a close on Friday, October the 23rd when Mr. Davis voluntarily turned himself in at Troop 2 and answered to a felony charge of Receiving Stolen Property as well as two misdemeanor charges- Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Bail was set at $3,000.00 unsecured and Mr. Davis was released.
