A fire broke out in the Trimpers building on the boardwalk. A lot of smoke earlier, Ocean City fire department got there quickly and contained it fast.
duh, why do you think they have fires in the offseason? you see how nice Dough Roller looks now. Don't you think other store fronts and rides on the boardwalk see that?
it was the "Goin Wild" jungle themed shop on the boards next to the Fudge Factory. No one was inside. it was contained to the shop and some colatteral water and smoke damage to "Jessica's Fudge House" and the hotel room above. if not for OCFD's efforts and fast response, it would have been a whole lot worse.
Actually, it was contained by the sprinkler system in the building, and required very little work by the fire department to actually contain.
This incident and the dough roller fire aren't comparable.
If you want to pat the fire department on the back fine, but save your comments of them saving the day to when they actually do have to do something.. like stretch more than two hoselines to put out a fire.
i made the 911 call. 4 minute response.
ReplyDeleteemo, what is your point?
ReplyDeletejust providing info. that's all. no point intended. perhaps accolades for such a quick response are in order.
ReplyDeleteWhy do Ocean City businesses always have fires in the office season?
ReplyDeleteThank you Emo for making that call!
ReplyDeleteGood job men.
ReplyDeleteso wat was on fire and how bad was it
ReplyDelete"office season"? Is that something like off-season?
ReplyDeleteThe dough roller fire in the spring 2 years ago is the only other serious off-season fire that stands out in my memory in recent history.
