Incident: Assault on a Deputy
Date of Incident: 25 September 2009
Location: Jersey Road, Salisbury, MD
Suspect: Patrick F. Land, 45, Salisbury, MD
Narrative: On 25 September 2009 at 9:23 PM, deputies from the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported hit and run accident. Upon their arrival, they located a subject who had been rear ended on Jersey Road in the area of Bailey Lane. The operator of the vehicle that had been rear ended told the deputies that the vehicle that struck her left the scene and travelled east on Bailey Lane. As the deputies investigated further, they discovered that the same vehicle ran over a mailbox and crashed into a fence on Hearne lane near Thomas Lane where the vehicle became disabled. Upon reaching the vehicle, they located the operator, Patrick Land, sitting on the ground nearby. After contacting Land, the deputies detected that Land appeared extremely intoxicated. Land was positively identified by witnesses as the individual driving the vehicle at the time of the collisions.
Land resisted arrest by struggling against the deputies. Upon being handcuffed, Land continued to try and kick the deputies.
Land was transported to the Central Booking Unit where he was processed and taken in front of the District Court Commissioner. After an initial appearance, Land was detained by the Commissioner in the Detention Center in lieu of $5,000.00 bond.

Date of Incident: 27 September 2009
Location: 200 block of Harford Road, Salisbury, MD
Suspect: Female Juvenile, 17, Salisbury, MD
Narrative: On 27 September 2009 at 12:14 PM, a deputy from the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office responded to investigate an altercation occurring at a residence in the 200 block of Harford Road. Upon arrival, the deputy discovered that two residents, a mom and daughter, became involved in a physical altercation. During investigation, the deputy learned that the mother took a cell phone away from her daughter when the daughter became mad and began assaulting her mother.
The deputy charged the juvenile on a juvenile referral that will be sent to the Department of Juvenile Services. The juvenile remained with her parents pending formal court action by the Department of Juvenile Services.
Charges: Assault 2nd Degree
Incident: Malicious Destruction of Property
Date of Incident: 27 September 2009
Location: 200 block of West Church Street, Hebron, MD
Suspect: Male Juvenile, 17, Hebron, MD
Narrative: On 27 September 2009 at 6:07 PM, a deputy from the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office investigated the intentional damaging of a vehicle in the parking lot of the Hebron ball park on West Church Street. While investigating the incident, the deputy learned a 17 YOA juvenile became mad at another subject on the property of the park and began punching that subject’s vehicle causing it to become dented.
The deputy located the juvenile responsible for the damage at his residence and completed a juvenile referral for Malicious Destruction of Property. The referral will be sent to the Department of Juvenile Services. The juvenile was released to a parent pending formal court action.

What the heck is going on with kids today. Beating your mother for taking away a call phone? This girl needs some serious help. Where did the entitlement come from to begin with? I'll give you all one guess. hint: jackass!
ReplyDeleteNa, I have a stack of papers from the juv system and they reviewed it and dont think action should be taken. Talk about not doing their jobs!
