at 02:15 AM, a deputy from the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office attempted to stop a vehicle for speeding on U.S. 13 S/b in the Delmar, MD area. Instead of pulling over for the deputy, the operator of the vehicle sped up and continued southbound in an apparent attempt to elude the deputy. The deputy pursued the vehicle southbound on U.S 13 through Salisbury and headed towards the Fruitland, MD area. During the pursuit, the operator of the Kia recklessly disregarded both speed limits and traffic signals. As the pursued vehicle approached Fruitland, a stop stick was deployed across the roadway in an attempt to disable the vehicle. The vehicle struck the stop stick as designed, which rendered both front tires flat. The operator of the vehicle pulled over on Southbound Fruitland Blvd and attempted to flee on foot. After a brief foot chase the deputies caught up with Corprew and managed to take him into custody after a brief struggle. Upon the apprehension of Corprew, the deputies discovered that his Virginia driver’s license was suspended.

Corprew was placed under arrest and transported to the Central Booking Unit where he was processed and taken in front of the District Court Commissioner. After an initial appearance, Corprew was detained by the Commissioner in lieu of $15,000.00 bond.
