Wicomico Bureau Of Investigation Press Release

INCIDENT: Armed Robbery
DATE: September 12, 2009
LOCATION: Wise Mart, 806 Main Street, Sharptown, Maryland

NARRATIVE:
On September 11, 2009 at approximately 2155 hours the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office responded to the above location in Sharptown, MD for a report of an Armed Robbery. Deputies requested WBI respond. Detectives and Deputies learned that two unknown individuals entered the store, one brandishing a shotgun and one brandishing a knife. The subject with the knife assaulted the clerk with the knife, causing minor injuries, and demanded and received money from the clerk. The suspects then fled into the parking lot.

The clerk was transported to Peninsula Regional Medical Center for treatment of his injuries.

SUSPECTS*: The suspects are:
Suspect #1: Black Male approx. 5’5” to 5’9” ft tall, medium build, 160-170 lbs, cream to gray colored jacket with hood, dark colored jeans, dark colored tennis shoes, dark colored gloves, dark colored mask and carrying a shotgun.
Suspect #2: Black Male approx. 5’5” to 5’9” ft tall, medium build, 160-170 lbs, black baseball cap with an orange “D” on the hat, navy blue jacket or shirt with white writing on the shoulder, black shirt under jacket, dark colored bandana and/or dark doo rag, dark colored jeans, white colored gloves, tan “Timberland” styled boots and carrying a large knife.

CHARGES: Armed Robbery
1st Assault
Felony Theft
And related charges
DISPOSITION: Under Investigation

  1. I tell ya Im glad no-one was hurt. If your out that way the man buys only Perdue chicken and it is good. Its NO Wonder Roast, but still very tasty. Mike & the men will get them.

  3. These criminals know all the deputies are in Salisbury, so let's rob a store 20 miles away. Maybe Willards or Nanticoke are next??

    Makes me wonder why Salisbury can't get their press releases out that quick. Oh, that's right, dare aint no cryme inn salberry.

  5. Clerk was at the hospital until 2am and was right back in his store at 11am. These thugs could learn a thing or two about hard work.

  7. This occurrence shows just how unsafe the area is. I have absolutely no idea where the yocals came up with this "crime free Eastern Shore" crap. Maybe they are the same ppl that make sure to cover-up all these armed robberies and murders.

    I moved here from a large city and never dealt with this much crime. Criminals were actually caught and punished. But then again thats what happens when the general public is made aware of local crime and when they actually care about something other than themselves. Here, ppl just drift along in this haze of ignorance thinking how great things are here because it isnt the "big bad" city. Think again oh clueless one.
