At a special meeting yesterday the Salisbury City Council rejected the request made by John Cannon for the City to refund lien fees that his family’s firm paid when it acquired the property at 304 Delaware Avenue. Details about the matter have already been posted on this blog – http://sbynews.blogspot.com/2009/09/wicomico-council-president-wants-refund.html.
We understand that the vote was unanimous, as it should be. The deed indicates that the firm named Cannon, LLLP paid $7,450 for the property in May, but that may not include the lien charges of $2,328.00
Thanks for helping to stop this scam!
ReplyDeleteThey didn't pay for the property they stole it at that price. The liens on it should be a piece of cake to them. What their return on the property will be in 20 years is astronomical in relationship to what they paid for it. Besides they will turn it into a section 8 dump and we the tax payers will end up paying the rent for it, so there you go it still ends up costing us!
ReplyDeleteThis isn't the first property these slumlord's have purchased. They knew very well that the property had been sitting for several years and had liens. You bought it, you own it John Cannon.
