Salisbury News Exclusive

The Beverly Hillbillies Of Delmar: Just after Noon today the Delaware State Police called the Delmar Police Department in for assistance searching for a young man who reportedly threatened his own life as well as others.

When they arrived at the first residence they came to learn it was the wrong address, so the search went on. It didn't take long for law enforcement to find the proper residence but their suspect was nowhere to be found.

After some discussion with other family members they came to learn their suspect fled on foot and within no time one Delmar Police Officer found their suspect hiding in the woods. The Delmar Police used their K-9 to help apprehend the suspect.

Guns were drawn as it was reported that their suspect was armed, this may not be the case though. We're awaiting a formal Press Release to get access to all the details and as soon as it comes in we'll update this Post.

Top Shelf Work to ALL agencies involved! I should add, Delmar should make it LAW that ALL residences have an address posted on each and every mailbox.

  1. Hey Joe, just wanted to say that it was Delmar's k-9. WCSD was not on scene. Thanks.

  4. He is lucky they didn't shoot him. What was he thinking? Telling people you are going to kill yourself is a crime.

  5. Kill himself, after assaulting his girlfriend, an extensive criminal history w/weapons, and a small child in the residence.

  6. Joe, Delmar should make it law? Is that address even in town limits?

But, I do agree that EVERY structure should be posted with the 911 address.

  8. Delaware Troopers do not mess around. Maryland agencies should take notes.

  9. That's Sussex County. It is a law to have the 911 on the house and visible from the road.

  11. Joe, these are the same people who cry when the fire dept can't find thier house because they do not have a posted address. How do they get mail? See what happens when we went from food stamps to the Independence Card.

AWESOME Troopers. That's why it's so hard to get into DSP. One of the hardest agencies in the country to get into. They are top notch all around, and they don't play. You fight or run, you get hurt. Period.
