No, Joe, Ireton is NOT listening. I don't know what in the hell he does but caring about Salisbury is definately on his NOT-to-do list. We made a big mistake thinking he would help correct the crime problem.
Not only violent crime... just plain crime in general! I was in the grocery store for all of 10 minutes yesterday and in that time someone stole the seat to my bicycle.
A bicycle seat? Really?!?!? Criminals are getting desperate.
Criminals are not getting desperate they are just coming to Salisbury to do their dirty deeds. They know in Salisbury that it is unlikely they will be caught.
There is justifications all over the place to fire Chiefy and disallow him benefits. Where is the Mayor? If this was a blue collar worker they would have been fired within the first 30 days of the Mayors term. Better yet Chiefy will / would have fired one of his blue collar Officers if they were as incompetent as he is. When is the Mayor going to take charge as his position requires and protect the citizens. Does this not tell you the reason nobody wants to go into Salibury. Is this not another reason no business wants to locate downtown Salisbury? This is also wasting tax payers money.
The biggest reason nothing ever gets done around here is due to the good ol boy network and the general public being ignorant about what really goes on around here. Look at the voter turn out for the local elections, they are nill. Everyone around here is more concerned with fulfilling their own personal agenda(helping out friends with job promotions, cutting deals under the table, nepotism etc) rather than having pride in what they do and actually making a difference. I'd bet my life savings that in 5 yrs NOTHING will have changed here. The area is very backwards and always has been.
maybe if citizens in this community knew of the volume of crime, they would push for something to be done, most people are in the dark about what really goes on in sby, the pick and choose news stories, and our judicial system leaves alot to be desired if the criminals were to be caught, its a trickle down give me my paycheck effect; not lets make changes to better our community...

ReplyDelete9:02,
ReplyDeleteI remember seeing a younger boy in salisbury last week riding a bike with no seat. At least yours is being put to good use.
Can't say the chief isn't striving to be number one in something.
