IN MEMORY OF A FORMER OCPD RESERVE OFFICER
It is with great sadness the Ocean City Police Department is advising the passing of former OCPD Reserve Officer Jack Doran, Friday, September 18, 2009.
Jack was an OCPD Reserve Officer for 5 years from 2000-2004. Jack was the Reserve Officer of the Year in 2002 volunteering 775 hours that year.
During his 5 years Jack served the OCPD with 2,231.25 hours. Jack is the 4th reserve offer to pass away in the last 5 years.
The Reserve Officer Program began in 1999 with seven civilians. The Reserve Officers volunteer their time to assist the OCPD with various public safety functions and are an invaluable part of the OCPD operational structure.
Since its inception reserve officers have saved the citizens of Ocean City over a million dollars of police salary money.
Jack Doran served his community with distinction, integrity and honor. His singularly distinctive accomplishments as an Ocean City Police Reserve Officer reflect great credit upon himself and
