Remember What I Said Months Ago About Ghost Towns?

All it takes is a simple drive from here to Annapolis and opening your eyes and you cannot miss the multiple Boat and Auto Dealerships closing their doors as a reality check to America.

All I want you to think about is ALL of the tax revenue these dealerships brought into each community. Now, that being said, while they continue to disappear, where do YOU think all that lost money is going to come from to keep these municipalities afloat?

That's right, it's going to come out of YOUR pocket! So when you have someone as greedy as Barrie Tilghman, Mike Dunn, Gary Comegys, Lynn Cathcart, Shanie Shields and others, THINK very hard the next time you want to watch your community grow. "Growth pays for Growth" is a crock of crap! When "Growth" ends, YOU pay for Growth.

IF any of these big box stores close, Car Dealerships, you name it, once they, (the City, County & State) get used to all that tax money and it disappears, where do they turn to keep up the services? YOU, that's where.

Come to Delmar, DE. where life is so much better! Maryland is like throwing good money after bad money!

  2. Dont forget the County Council they have a huge hand in this. Who cares as long as Johnny Cannon is still making money right ??

Who cares as long as they buy a million dollar fir boat.

Who cares as long as we keep selling all our local small business to Middle Easterners.

Who cares there are more guns in our schools because the B.O.E. wants to house thugs and drugs. Noble thought at least they are in school not on the street. Wellll my kid does not hang out on Church St. So just keep the violence in the class room. Wow common sense goes a long way.

It is more important to have carmeras on the freakin land fill and county roads, fuel monitors. P.I.O.s, Craemer and Shea. Make those in charge be in charge. Earn your 100k a year do a little inventory. The clock doe not stop at 3:30 every day.

If your were a business owner and read the local news or this Blog would you move to Salisbury or Wicomico County. LOL

We need change and we need it now.

How about a true farmer on the council, Maybe even a man of the cloth. A true housewife who lives below the 50K income. A small business owner the has suceeded.

You people know who you are if you have courage and integrity contact the F.O.P. Lodge 111. We garnered 18,000 votes for the right thing. If you are the right person we will work do the same for you.

    Joe stay on all them

  3. Joe, this reinforces what I have told those people who started work at my former workplace. I encouraged them to look into buying homes in DE rather than MD, even though the workplace was in MD. DE has always been more responsive to the people and fiscally responsible than the Peoples Republik of MD. The only thing the lawmakers care about is the Balt.-Accrapolis-DC suburb complex. Until the rural component of the MD legislature exercises some real leverage it will remain the same.

There have been numerous attempts to move the Shore component of MD to the state of DE. This is a concept that would be remarkably beneficial to the people on the Shore, but will never happen. The tax revenues from the Shore (poultry and tourist industries)mean too much to the MD lawmakers, but when it comes time to reward the people of the Shore, hell no, we need light rail, we need to renovate government facilities, we need to spend in our metropolitan regions to keep our massive concentration of voters pacified. There is absolutely no reason to not consider the movement of the Shore's population to the northern side of the Mason Dixon line.

  6. To add to 10:55-EXODUS 18:21 But select capable men from all the people--men who fear God, trustworthy men who hate dishonest gain--and appoint them as officials over thousands, hundreds, fifties and tens.

You potential leaders know who you are. PLEASE step forward.

  8. If a business closes the real estate taxes will still be paid. Even if it is foreclosed on the bank still pays the r/e taxes. The city, county, and state still get their taxes paid. Growth does pay for growth.

  12. Obamanomics at work!

Actually, I shouldn't blame this all on Obama. This started when the Dumbocrats took over congress in 2006. Remember when the price of gas went up to $4.00/gal and Pelosi shut down congress and went on vacation rather than vote on domestic drilling?
Irresposible actions like that scared all the investors away from the U.S.
Obama gets in, and sends the economic slow down into hyperdrive off a cliff!
Takes Obama 3 weeks to decide what to do about afganistan, but they can ram thru "bailout" $730,000,000,000 bill that hasen't helped do shi%

You people that vote Dumbocrat are just plain stupid!
