REALIZE RECORDS BEGINS FILMING REALITY SHOW AS PART OF LABEL INSTITUTE

Realize Records has begun filming an innovative new reality show centered on its record label institute. The show, entitled “Realize Reality”, will follow students throughout their journey while at the Label Institute, which is now in its second year of operation. Viewers will experience the ups and downs associated with the entertainment business as the students learn the music business from the inside.

Students become part of the staff at an active indie label and have hands on experience working with music industry professionals, artists and agents. They become part of real decision making at the label and see how it influences the product. Students also become heavily involved in the behind the scenes aspects of the Unicity Performing Arts Festival and have the opportunity to be onsite for the festival. Everyone who completes the entire program receives a professional credit in the music business on a nationally released CD.

Michel Grey, Realize Records CEO states, “The students get the opportunity to be featured on the show as well as learn what it really means to be working full-time in the entertainment business. Students will have the option to opt out of the show or be featured.” The program is geared towards students who want to work professionally in the music business, musicians who want to learn how to handle their own affairs and students who wish to open their own label. Realize Records, as part of its growth expansion, has numerous opportunities available for those students interested in working in the industry. The label hires from the class, and many of last years students are now currently employed by the label. Eric Anderson, a current students says,” Very informative. The school is located inside Premier Centre for the Arts located at 27 Anderson Street in Middletown, DE. The Centre’s 14 studios, theatre, recording facility, cafe and store all make up the spacious 8,000 square foot facility. 500 professional and recreational students study weekly in performance based educational programs. The Label Institute began on August 31, 2009 and will run through the end of May 2010. Classes are taught by Realize Records executives and other industry professionals.
