Annapolis, MD – To paraphrase President Reagan – there he goes again. On Wednesday night President Obama took to the microphone in an attempt to gain support for his failing, Washington-run health-care experiment on America. “The President is a great speaker, but I question his grasp of the facts,” said Dr. Jim Pelura, Chairman of the Maryland Republican Party.
“He called for the effort to be bipartisan yet according to House Republican Leader Boehner, the GOP had not been invited to the White House to discuss health care since the end of April.”
“He said doctors are for the bill, yet the 14 Republican doctors in the House and Senate all oppose Obama’s plan. In addition, the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and the Congress of Neurological Surgeons joined other medical groups in opposing the legislation.”
“He said it would cut costs and save money, yet the Director of the Congressional Budget Office said, ‘President Obama’s plan to expand health coverage to the uninsured is likely to dig the nation deeper into debt.’ Maryland families wouldn’t fare any better. An overhaul plan from Democrat Max Baucus, Chair of the Senate Finance Committee, calls for stiff penalties, up to
$3,800.00 for everyone that does not buy health insurance.”
Maryland Republican Delegate Ron George added, “Obama does not understand all the elements needed to make Health Care successful. He is all about ideas with no economic reality. Marylanders need a more patient-centered approach. Let’s bring in competition and allow the sale of insurance plans across state lines. That is the best regulator of price and service. Let’s allow employees to buy a portable plan that they can take with them no matter what job they are in.”

He has broken two records in 8 months.
ReplyDeleteObama has broken Jimmy Carters record as the worst President in U.S. history, and he has broken Bill Clintons record as the most lying President ever.
How's that change thing working for ya?
Anon 3:52 - Your comment is so helpful to the situation. I guess you don't have any ideas. I feel that the Republicans have some great ideas, but it's all about compromise. Until the two parties can do that.... we will continue to just argue for nothing.

ReplyDeleteWith all due respect. You can't have a discussion when one side(Democrats) keep lying about EVERY aspect of this healthcare debate!
1. Grossely overstate the need!
2. Lie about the costs of the Democrat plan
3. Lie about how to pay for their $1,000,000,000,000 plan
4. Accuse the regular folks that show up at townhall meeting of being Nazies
5. Rush to pass int he middle of the night a plan that doesn't go into effect until 2013.
Ya you're right we're arguing for nothing.
This is nothing more than a big takeover of individual rights by the Democrats plan and simple.
Republican, stop it any way you can!
How does one compromise on the constitution? Wasn't there something about unlawful siezure? Was there not something about powers not specificaly granted to the federal government being reserved fot the states and the people?
ReplyDeleteOh yes, Nevelle Chamberlin compromised with Hitler, that sure worked out well.
The idea of selling health insurance across state lines makes too much sense. It would increase competition and lower rates. It also would cost less less money to the tax payers. And give more legal Americans healthcare. A great solution. But the problem is it is has no chance with the Obama administration because it will not help them control your life. Their agenda is the most important thing to them. And only passing heathcare in any form will give them the ability to control your life. That is the agenda. Totally detroy our economy and our nation and then start again from scratch with a new form of government. Whatever you call it capitalism or communism.
ReplyDeletemost who don't have ins, can't afford it. so how do they pay the $3800 penalty?
ReplyDeletecourse, bill isn't written, yet. wonder what i've been reading.
If anyone out there on the "right" has a good idea, other than filling their coffers with K Street money, do feel free to send it. We'd love to hear. Until then, stay quiet, or at least irrelevant by posting on blogs like this one.
