Let Me See If I've Got This Right

After being interviewed by the school administration, the prospective teacher said:
'Let me see if I've got this right.

'You want me to go into that room with all those kids, correct their disruptive behavior, observe them for signs of abuse, monitor their dress habits, censor their T-shirt messages, and instill in them a love for learning.

'You want me to check their backpacks for weapons, wage war on drugs and sexually transmitted diseases, and raise their sense of self esteem and personal pride.
'You want me to teach them patriotism and good citizenship, sportsmanship and fair play, and how to register to vote, balance a checkbook, and apply for a job.
'You want me to check their heads for lice, recognize signs of antisocial behavior, and make sure that they all pass the final exams.

'You also want me to provide them with an equal education regardless of their handicaps, and communicate regularly with their parents in English, Spanish or any other language, by letter, telephone, newsletter, and report card.

'You want me to do all this with a piece of chalk, a blackboard, a bulletin board, a few books, a big smile, and a starting salary that qualifies me for food stamps.

'You want me to do all this and then you tell me. . . I CAN'T PRAY?

  1. Let's look at it this way, would you want their to be a call to Muslim prayer in the middle of the school day?

Oh this 'teacher' can pray all right, just not in front of class.

  2. And most parents keep their kids home when the president wants to give them an encouraging messgage?

  3. God Bless America. In God We Trust. This is our Christian country...not a muslin country.

  4. 8:49 this is a free country that embraces and respects all religions. Where you are free to praise the Lord on Sunday, hear the call to prayer several times a day, or not pray at all without the fear of persecution. God bless America, no matter who YOUR god is; this citizen just happens to follow Christ.

  5. If we could just look at all the statistics we would see that violence and drugs and the school system in general has gone down hill since taking prayer and discipline out of school. Generally, the ones who do not want their children disciplined are the parents of children that need it the most.I have only been out of school 20 years and it is a totally different world in the public school system now. Really, who can't see this?

They work more than 9 months and they don't all start at 35K. Why don't you check facts before you throw nonsense around? Joe just did a HUGE commented post about this very thing, why don't you go back and read it now?
