BREAKING NEWS: Coast Guard Fires At Boat In Potomac

CNN is reporting that the Coast Guard has fired 10 rounds at a "suspicious vessel" in the Potomac River.

It was not immediately clear if the shots were warning shots or if they were shots directed at the boat.

A temporary restricted zone had been set up on the river due to the Pentagon 9/11 ceremony, according to CNN.

  5. Showing it on the news now. CNN jumped the gun on this one.

4:42 IMO I want the Navy ready if it's needed. They need to practice drills to be prepared for when something happens.

  7. 4:42, Ask any person who lived on the east coast and was alive in 1942 if the Coast Guard is a waste of Fed funds. Or how about all of the boaters saved over the years.

Their role has changed over the years, but they obviously do more than you are aware of.

  8. 8:07 I couldn't agree with you more. It is an absolute disgrace that this happened on 9/11. How do you think the families that were in Washington felt? IDIOTS!!!!!

  9. Don't blame the CG for doing their job, blame CNN for reporting like the Daily Slime, irresponsibly. No one would have ever known of these exercises had CNN did just a little investigating before reporting.

Terrorism and war know no holidays.
