Joe,
Just wanted to let you know that EXIT Shore Realty has launched a limited time only 10% commission back stimulus plan for all buyers now until the end of the year. When a buyer uses a Realtor from EXIT Shore Realty to purchase a home, we will give back 10% of the company’s gross commission to the buyer at settlement! Coupled with the $8,000 tax credit (expiring 11/30/09), this 10% stimulus is a win – win and can be used for anything including but not limited to mortgage payments, closing costs, new furniture for the house, a big screen TV, a vacation, etc.
This stimulus is a “Thank You” to buyers for choosing EXIT Shore Realty/The Roop Group as their home buying representative! You can reach any of our Realtor associates from 9-5, 7 days a week at 410-912-0310 or visit us online at www.TheRoopGroup.com for more details. We look forward to helping by putting more money back into the pockets of buyers, in a time that they could use it most.
Sincerely,
Adam Roop

What a joke, big deal.......... so from a 3% sales or list side, thats .3%. Every company will negotiate the commission from the start. I would rather pay 2.5% straight, than 3% less .3 which then equals 2.7% This is just a marketing ploy. Typical of Realtors, never met an honest one yet.
ReplyDeleteYou are talking about the listing side...this is a buyer incentive. No company in the area is giving 10% commission of their commission back to buyers. In this market every bit can help. Unfortuantly you cannot not even support someone trying to help the community. Rather you put a good idea down. Get a grip...this is a great idea!
ReplyDelete1:24 BS ! List or sale side, in this market they all negotiate. My point is make sure the "discount" comes from the going rate, I know for a fact it doesn't! Additionally, much like the cash for clunkers mess, a VERY small incentive can mask the overall debt., and reality of the purchase. See if your doctor gives you a discount, you get what you pay for.
ReplyDeleteIt has been many years since I have sold realestate, but unless the laws have changed, this is illegal. You are not allowed to pay a commission to anyone who is not licensed. Call it what you will, but it amounts to a commission
ReplyDelete1:24 - Stop trying to argue in favor of your own post, Adam.
ReplyDeletewell in a struggling economy at least the roop group is making an effort to go get the business instead of waiting for the business to come to them.. i know alot of ppl arent to fond of adam roop bc of his flamboyent (sp?) ways thinking he's some sort of big shot when he's just a salisbury boy like everyone else trying to make a living. but they deserve credit for their business tactics and their always trying to help in the community even if it is just for the publicity of their company, their still doing it...
ReplyDelete9:41, night school my friend, night school.
ReplyDeleteI don't get it lol
