Wicomico County Sheriff's Office Press Release
Incident: Burglary
Date of Incident: 25 August 2009
Location: 7400 block of W. Adkins Avenue, Willards, MD
Suspect: Jason Mayton, 25, Fruitland, MD
Narrative: On 25 August 2009 at 3:37 PM, a deputy from the Wicomico Sheriff’s Office responded to investigate a reported burglary. Upon arrival, the deputy met with a juvenile who resided in the 7400 block of W. Adkins Road who told the deputy that a subject began knocking at a rear window of his residence. The juvenile stated that he did not answer the knock and this subject removed the screen and climbed through the window at which point the juvenile confronted the subject, later identified as Jason Mayton. Mayton told the subject that Mayton was only looking for a place to use the restroom and left the residence. The juvenile was able to provide the deputy with Mayton’s description and he was located doing work at an adjacent residence. During the deputy’s investigation, the deputy determined that Mayton entered the residence with the intention to commit a theft.
The deputy placed Mayton under arrest and transported to the Central Booking Unit where he was processed and taken in front of the District Court Commissioner. After an initial appearance, Mayton was detained by the Commissioner in the Detention Center in lieu of $25,000.00 bond.

ReplyDeleteThe kid should have never confronted him. He's lucky of the outcome.
ReplyDeleteThat boy looks crack addicted.
ReplyDeleteI think this how some bad crimes happen. The ass-hole doesnt think hes gonna rape your young daughter when he starts out, hes just going to rob you. Then once hes gone to far and been seen he turns into a rapist. Then the cowards that they are have to take it to another level because because they dont want to go to jail and they kill YOUR BABY, to cover their tracks. Its just an esculation of what was supposed to be a simple theft. I am not willing to take that chance with the people that I LOVE and are RESPONSIBLE for. In a situation like that I will not error on the side of caution. Ill send you straight to HELL if you believe in it. There is TWO SOCIETIES people. One knows whats right and tries to live that way, one doesnt give a damn. There out there.
