Weiner Challenges The Republicans To Put-Up Or Shut-Up On Healthcare

Rep Anthony Weiner from the 9th District of New York spelled it out in Committee last night. This is about socialized medicine and government control. Please take the 5 minutes and watch this video. If you support socialized medicine and want Medicare for everyone then by all means support him. But before you do ask anyone on Medicare what they really think of it.

  1. I support him. Let's roll.

  2. I receive VA health care as well as medicare and they both suck. When I was able to work and had health benefits thru my employer was the only time I had great health care.

The only thing I've seen the government run well is the military.

  3. Having just watched the video I have come to the conclusion that what the man is really revealing is that 44 years ago the government was successful in implementing a program that caused our elderly to become dependant on a government program which paved the way for further dependency on future programs. Soon we will be dependent on the government (with the money coming from the taxpayer) for everything. Our food, our clothing, our housing, etc.

    From the Encyclonomic webpedia:

"The theoretical utopia of communism is summarized with a quote by Karl Marx "From each according to their abilities, to each according to their needs."

It seems as though each generation takes us closer.

  5. Somebody dun filled his head so full of crap that's its running out of his mouth. I wish my grandmother was still alive to testify how much medicare did not pay for.

  7. The litmus test is this: The day Congress says they agree to be brought under their proposed plan, I'll say ok. There is no justification for anyone in Government or even a Union to be exempt from what our elected officials want to dump on the American public.

I challenge Weiner to shut up or opt in.

  9. If you want to see what people on medicare think of their care, why don't just post the rest of my post, Joe? The graph where it shows that medicare recipients are happier with their care than private insurance recipients? do the WHOLE story, Joe.

  10. Chuck, let me explain a little something to you.

First of all, I have no clue what you're talking about chart wise.

Secondly, I'm not interested in what a national poll says. We have our own poll going on right here in comments.

The saddest part about many democrats is that they cry wolf whenever a story doesn't meet their every want and need.

That being said, the comments reflect what those here on the Eastern Shore believe and that's one reason why Mr. Kratovil isn't gaining any real momentum because he doesn't hear what we the local people want.

That poll. And, you asked what people thought of Medicare. That tells you, EXACTLY, what people on Medicare think of Medicare...

..and it compares it to what people on private insurance think of their coverage too. Now, are you not interested in that poll because it goes against your pre-conceived notions and blows your argument out of the water?

"the comments reflect what those here on the Eastern Shore believe "

Yes, and if those "beliefs" are inaccurate or based on incorrect facts, then it's your responsibility to point that out, right? Do facts matter, or is this just all about "perception" and "belief"?

  12. Chuck, why are you trying to make it sound as if I had any knowledge to this poll to start with.

Unlike the other Blog you participate with, we produce up to 50 articles a day, moderate almost 600 to 800 comments per day, we actually go out and get news daily, write articles and provide information like this exact post from people like MSNBC. I guess they're not reputable enough for you.

Nevertheless, I do not sit around looking for counter information but you're certainly welcome to and we'll provide it, as we always have. In the mean time, stop making it sound as if I knew of this poll, (like you had sent it to me already) because I had no knowledge of it.

Now, again, you'll find anything you can to counter something that goes against Obama. That's your right but let me assure you, that man is failing America like there's no tomorrow.

I didn't see you counter the video we put up PROVING the Clunkers reality. Isn't that interesting Folks!

  15. I feel that his comments are pretty childish. I dare you? does he think this is a game to be won? that's the problem with most politicians (I dont care what party) they only think of win/loss, not whether what they are doing is right and good for the country.

  16. 1:40, 2:38, why don't they buy their own insurance then and quit complaining?

  17. I just watched that video, Joe. To think that proves anything is laughable. Nothing is sourced, no single point is corroborated with a link, and they only mention cash for clunkers in passing. If that's what passes for "proof" to you, Joe, then I don't know what to tell you.

Maybe that's why you don't think Obama was born in the U.S. or that we didn't land on the moon: You saw too many videos with "proof" in them.

  18. We have our own poll going on right here in comments.
