Someone Is Attempting To Clean Up Feldman's

After our Post referencing Feldman's being condemned once again, someone has chosen to do something about the mess in and around that building.

Mr. Miller, the former owner was nowhere to be seen, so my guess is that the Bank has taken the recent notice from Code & Compliance seriously and are doing what they can to at least tidy up the place.

The Daily Times, (aka sbynews on Twitter) put up an article today, after they saw we had already been on top of it last week. I guess they believe their readers don't come to the real and original sbynews.com but tens of thousands of readers have made the transition as they know they'll get the scoop days in advance here than they would waiting for the ink to dry two days later.

Hopefully we'll be able to provide an update as to where things stand with the City on this building. In the mean time, you should hear another update, (on average) in about two days in the print version of sbynews called The Daily Times.

  2. It may take the Daily Times a bit longer because they check their facts. Maybe you should try that once in awhile?

  3. anonymous 2:08, awe, have we touched a nerve. I actually sat ion this story for about 2 weeks. Look at the date on the violation. I talked to Tom Stevenson that day about it. Yeppers, as soon as the DT's saw our article they did a story about it, no questions asked. Here's a fact check for you. Are you or are you not using sbynews on twitter???????????

Yeah, we'll not see a response on that one but they are. If you can't beat them, join them, right Daily Times!

  8. I see Bank of Delmarva Stock is near an all time low of $7.05 a share today. It makes me wonder how many more "assets" like the Feldman's building the bank owns. The low stock price doesn't reflect well on the bank and loan officers, as many other publicly traded banks have had quite a run up in stock price in recent months.

Isn't the Bank of Delmarva in big time on the condo on Riverside Drive that is still mostly empty after 2 years (or is it 3 years now)?

They also own Hanna Kremen Tilghman, too, I think, so it ain't lookin real good.

  16. I hope it is Steve Grant who owns the over priced heap. If it goes down the tubes and takes him with it it couldn't happen to a better person.

Grant is too slick to put his own cash at risk, and I'll bet there's a big mortgage (maybe more than 1 now) on that condo. I heard it's for a loan by the Bank of Delmarva -- call them and ask.

  18. To answer 3:16, no, the consignors have not yet been paid for the lasts two months that Feldman's was open (Sept. and October of '08). Mr. Miller is still holding on to the state sales taxes that were collected for that period.
