Sen. Ben Cardin in Salisbury TOMORROW!

Call to TRY and see YOUR Senator.

Like so many Democrat congressmen, Sen. Ben Cardin isn’t looking forward to explaining his pro-ObamaCare stance to constituents.  That is why Cardin is making constituents make a reservation if they want to see him.

Want to ask a question?  You have to submit it in writing; in advance.

Cardin will be at SU on August 13, from 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM.  Call 410-546-6001 to request a seat.  If they won’t give you a seat, show up anyway.  Many of your fellow citizens are planning on being there to give Cardin a piece of their mind whether Cardin let’s them in the building or not.

  1. Let's hope for a respectful debate.

  2. Its a shame that Ben appears to have developed the "within the beltway mindset". An open spontaneous forum, much like the one the Wicomico County Council held on land use, would be a demonstration that he has the courage to meet with constituents.

The failure to do so, police prescence and controlling requirements tends to magnify our frustation.

Ben, you work for the people. Please muster the courage and leadship to meet with us openly and spontaneously by allowing for all questions and comments to be shared in the little time you have alloted your employers.

It would go a long way in demonstrating that you have the courage and leadership necessary to represent us and surely would be a positive impact on your possible re=election.

Come on Ben, show the Eastern Shore that you are courageous and brave and do not fear any questions or comments from us!!

  3. I believe that if protesters were not acting like thugs, reservations would probably not be required. Furthermore, many of those protesting already have socialized insurance (Medicare)or stand to profit from what is already in place. Folks need to learn facts, not twisted remarks from people who do not want universal health care!

  4. Come on Eastern Shore citizens, show Ben and the rest of the nation that we are not the racist buffons we act like.

  5. Oh please, thugs, like the union thugs that want Obama care?

The implants from the Kratovil office are alive and well on here.

What is so hard to understand for you liberals?

Many of us are happy with our health care, liberal "solutions" to a crisis that doesn't exist will destroy the greatest system in the word.

You need to find a job and quit sucking off the tit of the rest of us.

  6. Ben Cardin WILL be voting for Obamacare, count on it. Don't even try to change his mind because he isn't going to listen.

  7. Cardin has done all that he can to discourage folks from attending this meeting. Those that get in will probably have been screened like Obama's town hall yesterday in New Hampshire. Everyone should still show up and let their voices be heard outside the meeting if necessary. Good luck to all that attend. We will prevail.

Then he will be voted out!

  9. This is NOT a "town hall" meeting. It is a meeting with ONE group of people that has been scheduled for some time. Just so you know.

  10. 11:12...

At least he's meeting constituents. The RNC has told Republican representatives specifically NOT to hold town halls. I wonder why...

  11. G.A., why are you lying? Senator Cardin was invited by Gray Shore to speak to their group. This isn't a town hall, and you can't get a "reservation" unless you're a member of Gray Shore. You're trying to make it look like the Senator is doing a town hall and not telling anyone about it, and that is lying. He's an invited guest of group for a closed door meeting, and you're telling people to go there and ruin that group's private meeting based on lying about the purpose of the meeting.

  12. Don't worry, the thugs, Cardin supporters, are the ones with tickets!

Actually the number to call was available weeks prior to Obama's rallying call to Acorn and union thugs to confront respectable hard working concerned citizens.

Why would the RNC want to host meetings to explain a House healthcare proposal that they did not write or approve? Sure, some Dems are showing up at Town Halls but are they explaining anything or just repeating talking points? Why doesn't Congress want to be covered by the proposed plan or explain why they don't want it for themselves when people ask them?

  14. To Anonymous who replied to the post about the "thugs" - Just wondering why anonymous thinks I am a liberal (I am not - just one who reads all sides) and why anonymous thinks I do not work (I work two jobs - and not union jobs)! Anonymous needs to be more educated and well rounded. Sounds like Anonymous may be upset since his applecart is about to be spilt.

  15. 11:32 and 12:40, thanks for the perspective. Just remember that those who follow blindly to ideaology are always willing to forego the facts in order to push their cause. Which is the real reason why congress has trouble getting things right

If you are going to call me a liar, check a little first. Gray Shore is a magazine, not an organization. Second of all, I'm not a member of it yet I have a reservation for two seats tomorrow.

I don't have a problem with Cardin settign up an event like this. I have a problem with him NOT having a forum open to all of his constituents. I have a problem with ANY forum that doesn't allow average citizens to ask questions rather than screening them ahead of time (as Cardin is doing tomorrow).

So far we have run 4 posts on SbyNEWS and Delmarva Dealings. In each case, the phone number of where to call for a reservation is listed.

Besides the fact that you don't have a clue what you are talking about, you could also man up and leave your name if you are going to call me a liar.

    Anon 1231 -
When I called to get my seats, there wasn't a problem. There is no reason to call these people thugs. While there has been bad behavior in other parts of the country, the meetings on the Shore have been vocal, but not violent or nasty.

    Anon 1234 -
Really? The RNC is telling GOP congressman not to have town halls during the recess? Where did you read this? "The Martian Chronicles", perhaps?

GOP congress members are having meetings throughout their districts. Everyone? Couldn't say. However, the only reason you're not seeing them on the news is because Americans seem to oppose ObamaCare so overwhelmingly that GOP congressmen aren't getting beat up over the issue.

Perhaps that is why the left is paying people to organize folks to go to these meetings.

  17. Let's see if you protestors can do it respectfully. Try listening for a change, you might discover that some of your assumptions are flat out wrong. So now that Palin's "death squad" statement has been proven to be a lie, will you admit that she is loopy?

  18. 2:48, idealogues never admit wrong doing. Their allegiance lies solely with the elevation of their cause, not with the facts.

  19. I don't understand why all these protesters are so angry, rude and disruptive. It's probably because they don't understand the new proposal or are scared that their coverage will change or they will lose something. If they would just be civil and ask questions, they would get their answers- not rumors and lies that they've heard elsewhere.

  21. I dont understand why we need to discuss any damn thing. The people have spoken, we dont want this Socialist president interfering in our lives anymore. Whats the problem?

    ReplyDelete
  22. Some people may have spoken but not for the rest of us! What is your problem? Afraid that some things will change that need to change?
