Salisbury Police Department Press Release
On August 13, 2009 at approximately 5:52 am, Officers of the Salisbury Police received a call to respond to the exterior property of the Peninsula Regional Medical Center for the report of a possible suicide. Upon arrival the officers observed a male subject lying on the outdoor property of the hospital suffering from an apparent self inflicted gunshot wound. The subject has been transported to the Medical Examiner’s Office in Baltimore for an autopsy. The investigation is continuing. CC # 200900028446
On August 8, 2009 at approximately 12:52 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police arrested the below listed suspect for passing a forged prescription at the Milford Street Pharmacy in May of 2009. The suspect was identified during the investigation of the forged prescription and arrested on an outstanding arrest warrant.
ARRESTED: Kenneth J. Swift, 33 years of age Salisbury, Maryland

On August 10, 2009 at approximately 9:53 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police arrested the below listed suspect for passing a forged prescription at the Riverside Pharmacy in May of 2009. The suspect was identified during the investigation of the forged prescription and arrested on an outstanding arrest warrant.
ARRESTED: Tiffany L. Chaplinski, 30 years of age Cambridge, Maryland

On August 12, 2009 at approximately 7:53 am, Officers of the Salisbury Police arrested the below listed suspect for passing a counterfeit check at a business in Salisbury in August of 2008. The suspect was identified during the investigation of the theft and arrested on an outstanding arrest warrant.
ARRESTED: Marilyn Eliza Butler, 43 years of age Salisbury, Maryland
CHARGES:
Forgery of a document
Issuing a false document
Possession of a forged document
Theft (over $ 500)
DISPOSITION: Released to Central Booking CC # 200800039434
On August 13, 2009 at approximately 10:49 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police were on routine patrol in the area of Ohio Avenue and Smith Street and made contact with the victim of an armed robbery. The victim advised that he had been standing on Ohio Avenue and was approached by two (2) suspects operating a white work style van. The suspects exited the van then approached the victim, with one (1) suspect producing a long firearm, possibly a rifle. The suspects took U.S. currency from the victim, then re-entered the van and fled from the area. The victim was not injured and this investigation is continuing. The suspects were described as:
Suspect #1: black male, approximately 27 years of age, 6’ tall, medium build, braided type hair, wearing a white t-shirt.
Suspect #2: black male, approximately 25 years of age, 5’06” tall, Slender, wearing a cowboy hat and armed with a black long type firearm. CC # 200900028539

On August 13, 2009 at approximately 8:05 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police received a call to respond to the Boscov’s Department Store at the Centre at Salisbury for the report of a shoplifter. Upon arrival security personnel advised the officers that employees of the store observed the below listed suspect take jewelry from the store without making payment. The jewelry was recovered and returned to the store.
ARRESTED: Juvenile, 16 years of age Salisbury, Maryland
CHARGES: Theft (under $ 100)
DISPOSITION: Released to parent CC # 200900028522
On August 13, 2009 at approximately 9:47 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police received a call to respond to a residence on Vermont Avenue for the report of a domestic assault. Upon arrival the officers met with the female victim who advised that during a domestic type argument, she had been struck in the facial area and choked by the below listed suspect. The victim did not require medical treatment.
ARRESTED: Charles David Jones, 38 years of age Salisbury, Maryland
CHARGES:
Second degree assault
Resisting arrest
DISPOSITION: Released to Central Booking CC # 200900028524
On August 14, 2009 at approximately 3:16 am, Officers of the Salisbury Police arrested the below listed suspect for a burglary and theft from a residence on Camden Court that occurred in February of 2009. The investigation of the burglary led to the recovery of a portion of the stolen property and the identification of the suspect who was arrested on an outstanding arrest warrant.
ARRESTED: Nicholas William McQuown, 19 years of age Fruitland, Maryland

First degree burglary
Fourth degree burglary
