Marines Coming Home To Salisbury This Saturday

The latest word on the Marines arriving into Salisbury will be on August 22nd. They will arrive by car from BWI Airport.

They will be met in Vienna and escorted into Salisbury by Bikers and Sheriff's Deputies and are expected to arrive at the American Legion Post 64 on Business Rt. 50 around 1:00 PM.

Linda Kent and Dave Suiter are putting this whole thing together once again and we're reaching out to every citizen we possibly can to be there and support these fine men and women serving our Country.

Please add this event to your schedule this Saturday and show your support. We have watched these events grow each and every time and if there's one thing I can assure you of, there's nothing like it.

Please let us know if you'll attend through comments.

Good looking out. Marines are more squared-away. Joking, folks.
What unit are these guys from, Joe?

  5. Are fire departments going to be allowed to participate with the escort?

If so, where is the meeting spot in Vienna?

  7. The two Marines due in Saturday are husband and wife. They are both stationed in California with 1st. Marine Div. Raymond Romo just came back from a 7 month overseas deployment. Christie Romo will be deploying some time in the fall or early spring. The staging spot will be at the scales/inspection station just this side of the Vienna bridge in Mardela Springs. If anyone would like to join us, we will start staging at 12:00 Saturday rain or shine. We will escort them to the American Legion on Rt 50. Everyone welcome inside afterwards.

  9. A Salisbury Firefighter has returned from Afghanistan. Are you going to do a post on him returning?

  10. if this individual has returned from overseas/foreign land thank you for your service. This persons family should have approached the American Legion or the Veterans of Foreign Wars and made this homecoming a welcoming experience. There are many people who would participate in this endeavor.
