If you didn't watch PAC 14 last night, watch this video!
Once again, we're treated to the tantrums of Louise Smith. Louise you need to take the advise of Judge Daniel Mumford, if you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen. I'd prefer you repay the citizens you have been blatantly lying to since you began your campaign and RESIGN.
Question. Did Louise Smith break protocol by adjourning the meeting, without a motion to do so? AGAIN!
does Smith not know she is not the employer but the employee?
ReplyDeleteAs far as I'm concerned when Smith walked out on her 'boss's' she just resigned.
Yes, she did! This lady was denied her right to express her views, as well as those to follow.
ReplyDeletePlanned, set up, and executed. Way to go, Weezy! You knew what she was going to say, and didn't want to hear it... no, you didn't want the whole town to hear it!
ReplyDeleteThat doesn't make it not true, it just shows that you fear the truth and the public that holds you accountable.
Is she attemping to become a dictator?
ReplyDeleteI do believe she did violate protocol.
ReplyDeleteQuestion is, did she violate some other rule. Maybe one even more important?
She never asked for a motion to adjourn. Nor a second to the motion. Nor a vote.
Question is...after everyone left the room, did the meeting continue????
After the actions of some of the clowns I wouldn't be surprised!
This woman is power hungry! I don't know her personally but by the actions I have seen of her when viewing the meetings, Salisbury needs to get rid of her ANY way they can.
She's WAAAAY out there on her EGO trip! OMG!!
If I was her I'd be afraid to leave out of my house the way she treats people.
BTW - I do NOT live or work in Salisbury - this is an outsider's view.
Good luck Salisbury.
When Louise walked out, wasn't that a self-termination? The meeting was never adjourned.
ReplyDeleteAre the city council members above disciplinary actions? Does anyone know?
ReplyDeleteWhy is someone expected to STATE THEIR ADDRESS when they apparently already have it on the sign-in form?
ReplyDeleteThey don't require you to do that in other municipalities.
Is this ALWAYS done in Salisbury or was it done at just this meeting because Ms. Smith new this woman was coming at her?
There is no need to have to state your address! You don't know who might be in that room OR watching the meeting in replay!
OMG! You've GOT to be kidding me!
Let's put our citizens in even more danger in Salisbury!!!
Shes a mean nasty little woman isnt she.
ReplyDeleteIsn't abandonment grounds for termination?
ReplyDeleteLouise Smith needs an attitude adjustment.
ReplyDeleteAccording to Roberts Rules of Order in order to adjourn a meeting first their must be a motion, then a second and finally a majority vote. That would not have happened since Shanie was not there. She violated her own rules for conducting a meeting and should be called out on that.
ReplyDeleteThe shrew needs to be tamed.
ReplyDeleteHey, that first guy said "Alabama Avenue" and the second guy just said "resident of Salisbury" or something like that. Smith didn't gavel them for not giving their "address for the record."
ReplyDeleteEnding a meeting for this? That's unbelievable. Smith was awful rude to that woman.
RECALL LYIN LOUISE, NOW!
ReplyDeleteHow ironic, the same police department that botched the investigation of her attack is the one to escort her out of the room. DISGUSTING!
ReplyDeletelol go suck it smithy
ReplyDeleteStunning!!
ReplyDeleteAnd you Salisbury voters allow her to be your City Council President????
ReplyDeleteNo wonder the city is in such terrible shape.
Shame on You!!
not only did Smith just quit her position by walking, I believe the lady at the podium had here first amendment civil rights violated by all those that joined Smith in leaving the room.
ReplyDeleteAll these people need to be held accountable for this parade of power. Maybe the word should be 'charade' not "parade"
This is without a doubt the worst show of arrogance I have ever personally witnessed.
At minimum a open public apology from those that walked and termination of Smith's seat.
Warning; Not responsible for anyone that pictures her naked.
ReplyDeleteSad, very sad.
ReplyDeleteAlways thought the lady on the far left, I mean right was sexy.
ReplyDeleteSomeone with a degree in Law needs to chime in or let someone know if Louise did in fact legally terminate her position by leaving. If that is the case, the council majority problem is solved.
ReplyDeleteHopefully she'll read this....... do us all a favor and RESIGN or let's impeach her!!!!
ReplyDeleteThis part of what is wrong with Salisbury...
Public Servant Louise Smith needs a lesson in civic engagement and manners. Very very bad Louise.
ReplyDelete5:40,both ladies on the far ends of that council are beautiful, inside and out.
ReplyDeleteI was talking about the table not the council.
ReplyDelete7:03, oh ho! Mrs. Colegrove, the city clerk. Well, she is TAKEN!
ReplyDeleteThere should be a complaint made to the Ethics Commission. If Louise can't handle the job, she should resign.
ReplyDeleteTime to recall many. Let the petitions begin.
ReplyDelete7:12 whos the other Lady.
ReplyDeleteYes, Ghanima it appears the witch did break protocol by adjourning without a motion.
ReplyDeleteCouncil meetings are supposed to end accordingly to the rules. How can that witch expect anyone in Salisbury to follow any rules at all if she doesn't do so herself??
I hope those who are mad over things she has been doing since voted in will remember it when her next election arrives.
Why isn't the Mayor informed about when a meeting can be stopped? Why didn't he speak up and force the meeting to continue. He needs to learn what the procedures are, and step up.
ReplyDelete@7:29 Jim Ireton
ReplyDeleteLee do you have a legal idea how to get rid of these clowns. I know you read this blog. What do you say from "The Best Lawyer in Any Town.
ReplyDelete7:29, left to right from the podium is John Pick, Mayor Ireton, Councilwoman Cohen, Council VP Gary Comegys, Council Prez Louise Smith, Councilwoman Debbie Campbell, vacant chair is Councilwoman Shanie Shields, then the attorney filling in for Paul Wilber (city attorney), then Brenda Colegrove, City Clerk.
ReplyDelete(Can you tell I've watched this show a long time on PAC14?)
Louise Smith needs to go ...and go now. I pay over $4,000 a year in county and city taxes, and to see a woman act like this on the city council shows me I am definately living in a SMALLSBURY!
ReplyDeleteAnd Ireton....well, what can I say. He looks good in his suit and tie. Thats about it!
Thanks for posting this. We have "Dish TV" & can't get Pac 14 anymore. It nice to let those of us who don't have it see exactly what goes on at the meetings.
ReplyDeleteThis was Rude Behavior to say the least, let alone the legality of her doing this to the Lady.
What does Louise REALLY have against the other lady for her to react this way ? It was an over reaction on Louises part & may not really be the problem.
What has happened to our rights as citizens and Americans? Do we no long get to enjoy the freedom of speech in Salisbury? Louise Smith has not delivered on any of her campaign promises or followed through on her platform. She is one hot bag of wind and needs to resign and STAY home where she can enjoy the peace and quiet.
ReplyDeleteShe needs to go to anger management classes and in the meantime, someone needs to investigate what the citizens rights are with an attorney....from across the bay....if you catch my drift....
ReplyDeleteI am not a resident of Salisbury, but this is my opinion. Louise Smith is an embarrassment to the Citizens of Wicomico County and the City.
ReplyDeleteSurely there is some legal action available to have her expelled from the Council.
Salisbury is a great town with many problems, we just need to tweak things a bit, and get rid of the Dead Wood,Evil Doers,Gun Totting Thugs and this can be a good place to live[AGAIN]
The bigger loser in this episode is Ireton, who also dumped on the city resident that came to the meeting to offer a valid and important public comment and was berated by both Louweasel and him for trying to speak.
ReplyDeleteIreton actually has no say in council meetings, he runs the administrative branch of the city and is there only as a guest of the council.
ReplyDeleteHe owes the woman a public apology for berating her publicly, as does Louise Smith. It needs to be done on air, the same place they embarrassed her and the citizens.
Salisbury Bozos:
ReplyDeleteWell, you wanted Ireton's help, and now you have it -- still feel that way?
Happy Harry in Hebron
This is disgraceful! How dare that council leader target this woman in this way?
ReplyDeleteShe treated the woman differently from everyone else, then caused a terrible scene.
Positively Un-American! If my local representative ever treated me that way, I'd be yelling for his resignation at the top of my lungs.
You poor people in Salisbury!
The mayor just sat there! OMFG! That dude has no B*lls. He is supposed to represent the People of Salisbury, MD. Hmmm, Joe, I can not let this go. If the Police chief, the council and the new mayor wont step up then I will have to make a call to DC. I have seen some stuff while in Salibsury but this takes the cake. Want to see some fire works? Just wait for about 2 weeks.
ReplyDeleteIreton may not have any Power at the meeting as usual, but he could have certainly could have exercised his power when Smith dropped the gavel to adjourn.
ReplyDeleteIreton could have and should have stayed and heard Ann out or at-least been a man Ireton could have stopped and apologized not just to Ann but the people of Salisbury and insured them that action would be taken.
The good news is that when school starts up Ireton will have less time to screw up City business.
ReplyDeleteCity personnel from the department heads on down have learned the Ireton is incompetent as mayor and too busy with self-promotion and teaching school to spend time getting up to speed.
ReplyDeleteIt's an open secret in City Hall.
6:36 PM Louise Smith a public servant? My ass.
ReplyDeleteShe is a public disgrace, a total embarrassment to our community. What a total idiot.
Did she go to school past the third grade?
there's some history behind this story that's being ignored... i know that most of you know that. an extremely poor reaction by council, but don't think it's not pretty close to the reaction that was desired... most shocking thing is that the council prez took it "up a notch" and went ballistic... as far as i'm concerned there was "rude" flying in all directions.. as usual! nastiness begets .... ....
ReplyDeletesalisbury has a new queen...lmfao
ReplyDeleteweezie's a piece of work, isn't she.
ReplyDelete10:34 PM - I think you are full of shi-. You ain't goint to do squat. Wait two weeks? yeah, right. We'll be here but I guarentee it that you won't be. All talk
ReplyDelete12:58 Have you ever been a victim of a violent crime? This woman is frustrated. Her attacker has been on hte loose for more than a year. The council president was rude. When Smith left and the woman continued to speak for a few minutes before the police made her leave, she spoke calmly and thanked the Mayor for his focus on crime, but had some questions. Of course, she didn't get to ask those. Smith purposely provoked her, plain and simple. You would know that if you had been there and seen the big grin on Louise's face when she left. Louise Smith is no leader, and she has no manners when the camera isn't on. She slipped up and showed her nasty side with the cameras rolling on Monday night. She is arrogant and no public servant. Have you ever seen any of her "special" letters to members of the public who dare to disagree with her policy during public comments? Some pretty bad stuff for a democratic society. She learned well from Barrie.
ReplyDeletedon't disagree with you 8:49 and no have not been a victim of anything remotely as serious as her case. I just think there is a better way to address it. In the end she comes off looking psychotic and President just looks like she always does. How about asking politely to not share address with some justification based on her fears. then she comes off legit and everyone can really assign blame if the president goes nuts. Better yet how about addressing officially, whether or not a person is legally required to provide the address orally for the record. I felt bad for her initially, but now I can't help but think she has a political agenda and is exploiting her own misfortune. As a casual observer i can't relate to that. Don't want to feel that way, it's just my honest impression. If it was handled with more tact on her end my impression would surely shift.
ReplyDeleteThere should be a crime victim telling the council to get it together at every meeting. Let's get some number 1's from Fairground Drive in there talking. Let's see Louise try to pull that stunt on them.
ReplyDeleteI have said it before, and I will say it again: SALISBURY IS IMPLODING!
ReplyDeletethe citizen was just trying to appoligize for "talking" over the chair. Louise went bezerk! I would sy PMS but she is a little old for that. She didnt want to get involved with what the woman wanted to say about crime...
ReplyDeleteFrom the view across the bay, the citizens of Salisbury have been abandoned. Their leaders are a joke!
ReplyDelete10:21, I'm sure if the lady weren't being provoked on her way to the podium, she might have held it together to do what you said.
ReplyDeleteGetting up to speak is hard. When you've been a victim of crime and treated like a looney case for it, it's damn hard.
Victims of crime are not treated well in this society.
Louise Smith got exactly the reaction out of you that she was trying to create. She did not treat the other speakers like she treated this woman.
Even if this woman was out of line, who can blame her. The council president is the leader and she's the one who should have handled it right.
Plain Jane
10:21 I did a little research and she is not required to give her address. That seems to be one of Louise's special rules for those she wishes to intimidate.
ReplyDeletethank you both for the research and i see a new post up showing the exact passage. 12:36 i agree with most of your thoughts. 1:01 that being the case i go back to original thought.. i'd love to see her recite that passage upon approaching the microphone.. then if council goes nuts.. shame on them and mad respect to her for sticking to her guns... she shouldn't have to recite it but it would be very powerful to say "per code section ????, which reads "???" i choose to not share that information" i must admit i don't see the provocation when she's approaching... are we talking about prez asking for that info. when she knew it wouldn't be provided??
ReplyDeleteI'm not a Salisburian but after watching that ridiculous display from Smith I would hope that y'all gather up as many residents of Salisbury that you can and make sure your at the next meeting.
ReplyDeleteGive Smith what she gave that poor lady 10 fold. I would also suggest that everyone that speaks demand the name and (physical)address of each and every one of the council members and the mayor. EVERY person that approaches the podium.
