Four Salisbury Police vehicles and a Paddy Wagon are at the Thrift Inn on Rt. 13 in Salisbury. They are interviewing a man as well as a woman who appears to be about 23 years old.
You should check out the reviews of this place on http://travel.yahoo.com/p-hotel-12309519-thrift_travel_inn-i. Basically it is advertising this as a house of prostitution. Chesapeake Inn's reviews are not much better.
Typical of Chief Webster when the heat is on he goes after prostitutes. That's the way to fight violent crime Chief keep those hookers off the streets, someones husband might get a venereal disease. Let the shooters, burglars, thieves, drug dealers go, why worry with them when you can bust hookers. Doesn't take investigative skills to bust a hooker.
I have a business and am required a license. If I dont renew it I am out of business the next day. So how do those forigners rate to have several days to get a license...Close it down. It is a nucience. It is less dangerous to lock up a hooker than a bank robber, or a murderer/molester.
12:02, at least they are doing something about this. It's been years and nothing.
Still, you are right. The Chief is responding to the heat. If heat is what it takes, citizens need to turn the fire up more to go after the really violent crime.
The Daily Times may be trying to make Campbell and Cohen look like bad guys, but I am glad at least 2 people are doing their job and demanding the accountability Louweasel Smith promised us.
If this is the start of a crackdown from Mayor Ireton, I thank him too.
Yep.Nasty married men bringing home chlamydia is a major epidemic-way more deadly than say multiple shootings in drug infested neighborhoods. Enforce prostitution laws, yes but shutting down the motel will not stop it-the girls will just go to the next place,or worse, start stealing to support their habits.
That disgusting place needs to be burned to the ground! The sleazy Chesapeake Inn can go too! The slimy prostitutes can take their "pieces" and go else where. Preferably to jail!
4:48 A paddy wagon is what is used in cities so they can transport more than 2 prisoners in one vehicle. Years ago, the paddy wagons were also used as medical transports in emergencies. This of course when ambulances were more like hearses of today. Don't worry, Salisbury won't be getting paddy wagons, the chief would then have to admit how bad the crime really is to warrant something like that.
MANAGER GOT LOCKED UP
ReplyDeleteIs he here on a work visa?
ReplyDeleteJust close the place down, then tear it down.
ReplyDeleteWas the female the manager, or the little foreign looking guy?

anonymous 12:18, what makes this even more interesting is that the owners haven't had a license for years, not days.
