Narrative: On 9 July 2009 at 3:06 AM, deputies from the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office responded for a reported home invasion style burglary that had just occurred in the 600 block of S. Westover Drive. The resident told deputies that he had just come home and was in the process of opening the front door when he was attacked by five unknown individuals all either wearing masks or bandannas. The victim also stated that one of the individuals brandished what the victim believed was a handgun. The victim managed to enter the residence at which point one of the suspects struck the victim in the head causing a severe laceration. Another subject inside the residence locked herself in the bathroom and called 911. The attackers left the residence after stealing cash from the victim.
Upon the arrival of both deputies and MSP troopers, the suspects were located travelling in a vehicle on an adjacent street. Upon searching the vehicle, deputies located the masks and bandannas worn by the group along with a pellet gun that closely resembled an authentic handgun.
All five suspects were placed under arrest. The three adults were transported to the Central Booking Unit where they were processed and taken in front of the District Court Commissioner. After an initial appearance, all three adults were detained by the Commissioner in lieu of $250,000.00 bond each.
The two juveniles were released to parents pending further action by the Department of Juvenile Services.

Upon the deputy’s arrival, a subject inside the residence was discovered to be bleeding substantially in his facial area and suffering from a possible nose injury. The victim identified the assailant as a co-habitant, Dennis White. Upon interviewing White, the deputy observed that White appeared to be under the influence of alcohol.

Date of Incident: 9 July 2009
Location: Mt. Hermon Road at Main Street, Salisbury, MD
Suspect: Zachory Huffnell, 20, Salisbury, MD
Narrative: On 9 July 2009 at 12:08 AM, a deputy from the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office stopped a subject later identified as Zachory Huffnell who was riding a bicycle while hanging around a convenience store at midnight. That, along with no appropriate lighting on the bicycle had drawn the deputy’s attention. Upon stopping Huffnell, the deputy discovered a plastic case in Huffnell’s pocket that contained what appeared to be prescription pills. The deputy managed to identify the pills as Hydromorphone, a narcotic based derivative of morphine and also learned that Huffnell had no prescription for the pills. Based on the amount in the container, coupled with the substantial amount of U.S. Currency carried by Huffnell, the deputy believed that Huffnell was selling the pills.

Them's two scary lookin' dudes.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad they're off the streets.
Good Job!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteKeep Up t
The Good Work Get Em ALL!!!!!
team work, team work, that's why they were caught so quickly
ReplyDeleteJust shows you how completely worthless juvenile justice is. Armed robbery charges and the 2 juvs get to go home so look out! They'll be back at it tonight.
ReplyDeleteI wrote the post the other night about the juveniles getting off easy, taking up so much court time. Here is a prime example, the adults have probably graduated from the juvenile system get a $250,000. bond each and the juveniles were released to the parents. We will never know if these adults or juveniles have priors once they turn 18, slate is clean. The crime is out of control, the gangs are in full force and our police agencies are overworked.
ReplyDeleteLet's turn some more juveniles back into the custody of their parents so they can meet up with some more friends (gang members) and commit some more free crime sprees (at the victims' expense). Someone, please figure this juvenile system out and please do it quick.
Good job deputies. Keep cleaning this town up, lord knows Chief Webster doesn't have the balls to do it.
ReplyDeleteTHIS is why you guys have all the newest technology to work with. You don't have your hands tied like those officers at SPD.
Very Very weak distribution case.
ReplyDeleteI too had to shake my head in astonishment as I read that the juveniles were released to their parents. Armed robbery, assault and burglary in the first degree, and theft during a home invasion and they are released to their parents. If these parents were doing a good job, they wouldn't have been out at 3am committing felonies. I wonder if they were as irritated about being bothered by the police as they are when the school calls about their kids.
ReplyDeleteSend them all to Forestry Camp, worked for me.
ReplyDeleteGood Job WCSD... Glad the commissioners did their job $200,000.00 bond on PWID charge, thats great. Most counties that subject would have released on Personal recognizance, no doubt. $200,000 is great the way it should be. He wont be getting out til' after his trial when the judge gives him "time served" on a 20 year year felony after serving a month in jail. Once again people your judicial system fails you most of the time. Who will ever hold the judges accountable for that crap?
ReplyDeleteThank you 6:58, you get it. The Juvies here are the workhorse of the gangs... without them, they would not survive, as the police would eventually arrest them all. Since the police can't arrest the under 18's, the gang lives on, and theft and murder rule the streets. The older gang members just use the under 18's to do the work, and rarely get the arrest. This needs to be fixed immediately, but won't in Maryland. Delaware, however, deals with it better.
ReplyDeleteOrsonwells, I do get it, but what I think I also get, is there is too much money involved in letting this cycle continue. Everybody has a job, the police are overworked, the court system is tied up, the juvenile system has rotating doors, the drug/alcohol treatment facilities are full and the criminals control that system too, we add on masters and a complete staff there. I could go on and on with this, but people, the system is broke, we have an administration that does not believe in the death penalty, we have a weaker system that paroles these criminals out early so they can commit more crimes and we have kids having babies and noone to raise them, so here goes another system that is controlling the children in Social Services. And believe me, they can't get their heads out of their a$$es in order to do their job. We have a lot of people in control and nobody is controlling anything except getting state and county paychecks with all the benefits. I am not saying that some of these people don't work, but if the system is this broke, then there are many people who are not doing their job, or not allowed to do it. Let's make up another position and pay another employee instead of fixing this problem.
ReplyDeleteHow bout then 'boys' come to delmar we got a club for them.
ReplyDeleteThe 2 Juvies were already under the supervision of the parents. How stupid is it to release them back to them and under a bad crime to begin with. Anything is a bad crime if you break the law. DO the crime Do the time. We will be reading about them again I am sure.
ReplyDeleteWay to go mom & Dad you must be real proud.
The first few Ju-vees....gee, # 1 males....who would have "thunk" it? But remember, they're just kids, right? Kids with guns...just foolin' around...no harm done, right? Bet they're out on the streets again in a few days doin' the same 'ol same 'ol!
ReplyDeleteThe second guy...WTF? What happened to his face?? I would have smacked the crap out of him until he looked correctly at the camera...simple a$$!!
The third guy....why the hell have we locked up Peter Frampton? I still love that music! "OOOooohhhhh baby I love your way.....every day......"
7:19 Very very weak distribution case
ReplyDeleteI thought he was a hooker, you know, dude looks like a lady
$200,000 bond suggests he must have priors
juvie justice was contacted they refused to come out....typical....welcome to maryland people...welcome to the liberal state. If there is no punishment for juvies, which they no there isn't, why not continue to commit the crime. Maryland has serious issues when it comes to juvenile Justice, but until the law makers and judges are the victim of one of these crimes nothing will ever change....
ReplyDelete#2- His wife Gail musta kicked his butt ---AGAIN--- Oh Dennis, owner of G&D Cleaning and the former G&D Used Cars, how far the conceited fall.

ReplyDeleteWhats crazy is that S. Gosless just got released from a mental hospital where they said he was able to make it in society with the rest of america! guess that was a lie! those type of facilities are not helping our youth. just setting them up for failure! clearly......he was not ready to be released! now look...back in the system again!
