The Tawes Festival Is Today
For the past several years I have attended this event and have always had a blast. I will be taking most of the day off the Blog to enjoy fellowship with friends and associates and returning with a full belly filled with Eastern Shore Delights.
If you've never attended, (while always hot) it's a great day, you should try it. I'll return this evening to catch up on what's been going on locally but today my time will be spent in Crisfield supporting the local eastern shore economy. Hope to see you there!
I wish I could go, but I have to work twice as hard for the same amount of money. Our politicians are stealing from us, plain and simple. many of them that will be there today, are ensuring a horible future for us.
ReplyDeleteThis is the anniversary of Comegys being told Ireton was going to run, and Comegys just laughed and said "let him." All the good ol' boys chuckled because they knew, just KNEW, that Comegys would be the next mayor! How'd that work out?

ReplyDeleteI use the internet for my businesses. I have saved some money the way most small businesses do, I had to let some people go. The actions of our politicians, have consequences for the people. great day for the event though!
I wish the event wasn't during the middle of the week so more of us were able to attend.
ReplyDeleteDo not drink and drive.
ReplyDeleteIf the event were on weekends it would cut into the politicians dayz off.
ReplyDeleteWith all the problems in all areas of government they all to have their noses to the grindstone.
When things get tough where I work I might have to work on my day off like everyone else.
Politicians are supposed to sacrifice for the people, not the other way around. this event should be for people, not lying politicians trying to better their own families at the expense of every other person in their state or America.

ReplyDeleteWouldn't it have been wiser if you spent your time working rather than posting on a blog?
If you've had to lay off people shouldn't you be a little more productive with your day?
Let any Salisbury City or Wicomico County official or employee who attends forfeit a day's pay.
ReplyDeleteHow to make a Sea-Biscuit:
ReplyDeleteA) get a very fresh cracker,(standard).
B)put a healthy pile of crabmeat on cracker.
C)drip very little vinegar onto crabmeat.
D)drip a very little bit of melted butter onto crabmeat.
E)drop a small pile of home made cocktail sauce onto crab meat.
F)down the hatch in one bite.
Is there any better way to eat crabs, Sea-Biscuits rule.

It's been held on a Wednesday for over 30 years. Quit whining people. If it were on a weekend you'd still piss and moan...and still wouldn't go.

ReplyDeleteBet they won't set up a DUI checkpoint!

You are a moron. If I took a vacation day today, and lets say I work for the City, does that mean I shouln't get paid? Why is it that when the economy gets bad and all of the sudden it isn't so rosy for the private sector, everyone wants a government workers head on a chopping block? I have a family just like you. I take a crap just like you. In the private sector, people make more than me, but I chose my job for security during times like these. Private sector wants their cake and to eat it too. I didn't see them complaining to the powers that be when market studies showed that we were below market. Why have an interest now? Maybe you are one of those people who stuck your neck out on the line and bought a house you could barely afford, and are now in a tight spot. Its not a government workers fault. I bought a small house I could afford, and drive a vehicle until it explodes. Maybe you should re-think your attitude towards City and County workers. They work hard everyday for as$&ol$*, I mean, people like you.
What A Joke...
