Working - I work six days a week. Sunday will be spent at a family BBQ with out of town family from Texas. I'm ready to show them how great the shore is!
My youngest daughter is getting her learners permit today.. I quess she will be wanting to put 1000 miles or so on my vehicle this weekend. Now I have to find the means to get her a car, at least shes the last one.
I'm going to the farmer's market downtown and hoping to get a few more iris plants. I understand that the Eastern Shore Iris Society will be downtown on Saturday with a few more plants for sale. On Sunday, a picnic.
Packing! I got my tax bill. The high Princess Anne taxes are sending me elsewhere. Everyone else should do the same and maybe the town would get the message.
I am going up to Chesapeake City, Maryland, by boat, then headed Cecil County Fair in Elkton, Maryland. Then going to eat at the Chesapeake Inn in Chesapeake City, Maryland. Then cruising...
I Will Be At The Delaware International Speedway Watching The URC Sprint Cars In Action!!!
Watch The Return Of Greg Coverdale...URC + Regular Show - Sat Aug 1 - Gates Open 4:30PM, Racing Starts 7PM... Gen. Adm. $16, Kids 13 & Under Free, Pit Access $25
Cutting lots of fresh oregano from the garden and tormenting myself by hanging it from the 150 degree rafters in my herb attic. Its all worth it when I spin out a big italian dish!
7:06 PM......there is not a better smell in the world then fresh basil and oregano. It makes a great bouquet for the table as well. You will have to come to one of my dinners...lol.
Like many of my fellow blog readers,I will be working, could gripe about it but at least I have a job so I should be thankful
10001110101-oregano sounds great but do you know where I can find catnip herb plants?I havent seen them anywhere-just sage and dillweed. They are easy to grow and the cats LOVE fresh catnip. Thanks!
11:31 pm-Stillwater Herb Farm on Rt 9 in Lewes or Pepper's greenhouse outside of Milton. They are both worth the ride. Catnip is among the mint family. My cat loves spearmint. You have to watch it though, it can be very invasive for the formal gardener. Once you start it, you will have tons of it in a matter of weeks. It also makes a great bouquet. One bouquet will freshen you whole house.
We'll be enjoying one of the last summer weekends at our trailer at Trails End campground near Chincoteague. Reading and riding the golf cart, cooking on the grill, relaxing for a little while. Then it's back to reality on Monday. Life is good, if not great!
A have to see-The movie "The Time Traveler's Wife" opens tonight. The book was wonderful. The Rehoboth Art League is having their Fine Arts festival. Some pretty awesome artists will have exibits there.
Enjoying a family tradition for many, many years...the Sharptown Carnival on Friday & Saturday nights (they are closed on Sundays). With their rides inside of that big building now, they do not mind if it starts to rain. I can smell those oyster fritter sandwiches now!!!!
