Obama Invites Cop, Professor to White House for Beer
NATICK, Mass. (July 23) -- President Barack Obama concedes his words — that a white police officer "acted stupidly" when he arrested a black university scholar in his own home — were ill-chosen. But, while he invited both men to visit him at the White House, Obama stopped short of publicly apologizing for his remark.
The president personally telephoned the two men, Harvard professor Henry Louis Gates Jr. and Cambridge, Mass., police Sgt. James Crowley, in an effort to end the rancorous back-and-forth over what had transpired and what Obama had said about it. Trying to lighten the situation, he even commiserated with Crowley about reporters on his lawn.

The best thing this idiot could do is resign his post and move to back to his birth place(Kenya) then maybe we could start to regain our once great country back.Sad thing is now he's trying to smooth over the pile of sh-t he created and it is not working.Wonder how hard he'll lean on the courts to drop the charges. In my opinion the full extent of the law should be used in this case because it has now been made "high profile" by your president. After all haven't we been taught since our youth to lead by example.
ReplyDeleteAs a republican his birth certificate is the least of my worries right now. He has definitely bringing the Change that he said he would. Its a shame that its the change for the worse. It bothers me that Obama can apologize to the world for the United States past actions but can't apologize for his comment about the cop. His comment was uncalled for. Especially when he admitted he didn't know all the details.
ReplyDeleteIm surprised no one else is saying this but Gates actions were racist and stereotypical as well. When he saw the white cop he jumped to conclusions that this cop is a racist because he is a white cop. Why is it only white people that are racist.....???????? Gates picked the wrong guy to call a racist.
I'm only 26 years old. My next door neighbors were colored. We played ever sport imaginable together, went to bible school together and had slumber parties. This stuff needs to end and here is a few steps that we need to take:
1. Close all groups that single out any race. Example: NAACP
2. Close all minority advancement programs.
I'm proud to say that American was capable of voting on an African American President. This goes to show that anyone can get anywhere in life as long as they work towards their goals.
"I'm only 26 years old. My next door neighbors were colored"
ReplyDeleteDid you ever call them "colored" to their face?
Whats wrong with colored? It's a fact when I was growing up that's how (what you call Black)people of color were called and yes we did call them colored to their face. As they also called us white cracker and cracker as well as many other names. Thing is that if I were actually calling black folks as I see them I would not call them Black because for the most part they are BROWN! I have friends that are Black as some of you want to be called that I would never call black they are just friends. Here again you want to bring out the race card because someone used the word colored get a life and quit this word game describing who you are. Thing is Black people have beaten this to death, Who cares about a word it is not an insult its a truthful statement.
ReplyDeleteWord up. Thanks,937 ,513.!
ReplyDeleteYes, the proper word was colored.
ReplyDeleteLook what the letters NAACP stand for.
When we were taught about races (in my totally integrated grade school) we were taught that "negro" was the race.
