CUPERTINO (The Borowitz Report) - In what it hopes will be a blockbuster addition to its trove of popular iPhone applications, Apple announced today that it was introducing a new app that can translate the utterances of former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin into English.
The application, called the iPal, is available for downloading today, the company confirmed.
According to Apple, a user of the iPal app can hold his iPhone up to a television when Ms. Palin is appearing and receive a real-time English translation in text form.
Carol Foyler, 34, an early adopter of the iPal app, said that the application is not without its glitches, however.
"I tried to use it last night during a replay of her resignation speech," she said. "When she got to the part about being a good point guard my phone exploded."

Was that post supposed to be funny? Not!
ReplyDeleteI know you would rather focus on Palin instead of what the liberals have done and are doing to the country. Hows that obama thing workin out for ya !
ReplyDeleteThat's funny.
ReplyDeleteWonder if she will get a Playboy deal.
Even dumb Joe Biden says they were wrong on the economy duh! They're wrong on everything so far !
ReplyDeleteObama is working just fine... Much better than Ms. Palin or McCain would.
ReplyDeleteWhat do you think McCain would do in this situation?
What is it with Republicans and not being able to speak? Is bushism contageous?
ReplyDeleteThe Bush family isnt done yet.
ReplyDeleteWhoa, talk about being able to dish it out and not take it? What's with the thin skins of all these Obama-haters when the tables are turned?
ReplyDeleteShe appeals to the militant christians, the uneducated, and horny old white guys to securing votes for the republican party. That is all she is good for and the leaders of the party know it.
ReplyDeleteNow maybe they can come up with a real time truth detector for Obama's speeches. One that could go beyond the beautiful pictures described and right to the part that is either taking away a freedom or transferring our money to those that are to lazy to work for it.
ReplyDeleteSo humor about democrats is funny, but humor about the GOP is wrong? I don't get it.
ReplyDeleteThe only objections about GOP attmepts at humor have to do with depictions of Obama as Hitler, or other blatently racist imagery. Anything else is up for grabs.
Palin is funny in her own right, and if you really look at all she says, you should see that. She is a pubic politician, (as she chose to be on her own) and is subject to this. She nees to thicken up her skin.
Was this post laugh-out-loud funny? Not really, in my opinion. But not all jokes are. Thanks for the levity, Two Senz. Much more of that is needed around here.

ReplyDeleteyou are a pathetic person
11:26 Just because Obama can read a speech, that someone else wrote, off a teleprompter does not make him a great speaker... He would start spitting and sputtering if something was to happen to his teleprompter during his speech. Do you remember when Clinton's teleprompter stopped working? He continued his speech without a glitch. He was a great speaker
ReplyDeleteAs a Conservative I like Palin. She doesn't play all the political BS games and doesn't care about getting votes. Apparently because any chance she had at becoming president is lost now after resigning. Before resigning she never have had a chance at becoming president because the media has ruined her and the liberals are right that she would never win. However I feel that she will continue to be a great voice in the conservative party..
I would rather have Romney over Obama or McCain
I want to echo Duck Around and Dan. Thanks guys.
ReplyDeleteA common complaint of Repubs is that Dems cry "it's Bush's fault" over everything. Well, no one mentioned Obama in this post, why all the "but Obama reads a teleprompter" comments.?
The more you entitlement culture liberals squeal like pigs against Palin and Bachmann the more people like me, working taxpaying middle age college grad that has voted for Dems and Republicans will throw our support behind them. Enjoy your brief moment.
ReplyDeleteFunny you think I don't have a job or graduate college. I have a full-time and a part-time job and graduated from a conservative religious university.
ReplyDeleteBut keep up the stereotypes, they seem to be working so well for Republicans.

It was a response to 11:26(What is it with Republicans and not being able to speak? Is bushism contageous?)
Obama cannot speak either. You libs can attack Bush and Palin about not speaking but when we attack Obama its not ok???
Seriously I dont care if someone can't speak. I personally hate public speaking. I will judge them on how they are running the government. Not how they put together a few good sentences. Grow Up.
"Grow Up."
ReplyDeleteLOL! Yes sir.
