As much as it pains me to say this, I have to admit it - my Democrat friends were right.
They told me if I voted for McCain, the nation's hope would deteriorate, and sure enough there has been a 20 point drop in the Consumer Confidence Index since the election, reaching a lower point than any time during the Bush administration.
They told me if I voted for McCain, the US would become more deeply embroiled in the Middle East, and now, tens of thousands of additional troops are scheduled to be deployed into Afghanistan .
My Democrat Party friends told me if I voted for McCain, that the economy would get worse and sure enough unemployment is at 9.4% and the new stimulus packages implemented recently have sent the stock market lower than at any time since theIslamic Terrorists attacks of 9-11.
They told me if I voted for McCain, we would see more "crooks" in high ranking positions in Federal government and sure enough, several recent cabinet nominees and Senate appointments revealed resumes of scandal, bribery and tax fraud.
They told me if I voted for McCain, we would see more "Pork at the trough" in Federal government and sure enough, 17,500 "Pork Bills" showed up in Congress since January 2009.
I was also told by my Democrat friends that if I voted for McCain, we would seemore deficit spending in Washington D..C. , and sure enough, Obama has spent more in just 30 days than all other Presidents together - in the entire history of the good ole USA!!
Well I voted for McCain in November and my Democrat friends were right... all of their predictions have come true!
Don't worry Joe, you can vote for Palin in 2012. That shoud help. What you and the sheeple pundants of the Right refuse to admit is the catastrophy Redumblican policies on economics, trade, war, banking, etc. left for Obama. There is no quick fix, Obama told us that. You remind me of a spoiled child demanding a cookie before the dough has been made. Grow up.
ReplyDelete1) it's called recession. No matter who is in office, you were bound to see things continue to deteriorate for some time.
ReplyDelete2)Do you believe we should not be finishing the job in Afghan.? Conservatives criticize the president even when he agrees with you.
3)Someone should review the concepts of corellation and causation. The market was trending down prior to signing the stimulus and has had a steady rise off of it's lows in March
4) Crooks; niether Rep. or Dems. hold a monopoly on this issue. Plenty to blame in both parties.
5) Pork; again, just the realities of gov. both under Rep. and Dems.
6)Deficits: I agree. This is one point where I disagreed with Obama. But, just about all of the congress (Reps. and Dems.) were claiming that "the sky is falling" and something needed to be done. This is one time I agreed with the ultra-conservative wing; keep your hands off and let the market correct itself.
7) Overall, no matter if McCain would have one, the new president stepped into a world of $h!t. This world wasn't created in a day, or even 6 months. Lets make a deal; lets take a look at where we are at in 1-2 years. Things still bad, then you are free to bash. Significant improvements: then conserves shut the hell up.
9:35, love the spoiled child comment : ). And my point exactly, give things time to see if they work, then you can B!tch and moan if they don't
ReplyDelete10:11 Give time for WHAT to work exactlly? The 10 TRILLION dollars of our grandschildrens money that we borrowed from China? Oh I can't wait for it to work, because lots of people AREN'T!
ReplyDeleteMy ID says it all...lol
ReplyDeletenot to forget, democrats have had control since elections for 2006. 2.5 years oughtta be enough time for things to start to turn.
